The perfect cord for your car?
I love these cords. I have bought 2 sets for myself and recommended them to a bunch of coworkers.-they are CRAZY durable. Unwanted spring action
While great in theory it doesn’t work as desired. It does eliminate have a cord hanging about, but it’s a spring that is constantly applying pressure on the phone plug. I’m concerned that it will damage my phone.

75% fail rate
I initially bought the 6 foot pack of two coiled cords and for the first week they worked like they were supposed to. The second week one of them started shorting out and it would kick me out of Apple CarPlay about once per day and stop charging my iphone as well intermittently. My car port and phone port are perfectly fine, the issue is somewhere in these cords.. Since they came in a two pack, I had to send both back and I exchanged them for two new ones. About week 3-4 weeks later both of these chords were doing the same thing. My wife is complaining about one and I have the other. Now we are out of the 30 day return window. So three of the four chords malfunction in less than a month. I consider myself pretty tech savvy but there’s not much to these chords… you plug them in and use them. A 75% fail rate after one month is pretty jank. It’s too bad because these coiled cords are great in cars and they stay out of your way. This set had the best reviews of all of them so doubtfu I will try another brand. Guess I will just go back to the 3 foot basic cord that I’ve always had.

I have several of these as well have a few varieties. The coiled design means they don’t take a ton of space when not being used, importantly, they go back to their shape after use.Only had an issue with one of them and that was due to the placement I gave it. I ran one through a grid system for mounting phone holders, etc and the coating chafed. It still worked but eventually would have had an issue…next time I’ll wrap that section with tape as a sacrificial layer.
