Does this work with my car if it only has an aux port and no Bluetooth?
Yes — this is exactly what C28 is designed for. Plug it into your car’s 3.5mm aux port and set it to RX mode. Your phone connects to C28 over Bluetooth, and audio streams wirelessly through your car stereo. Works with any car with a 3.5mm aux input.
Will it work with my Victrola or turntable record player?
Yes. Plug C28 into your turntable’s headphone or aux output jack and set it to TX mode. C28 transmits the audio wirelessly to your Bluetooth headphones or speaker. Works with Victrola, Crosley, Audio-Technica, and any turntable with a 3.5mm output.
Can I use this to connect my AirPods to an older TV that doesn’t have Bluetooth?
Yes. Plug C28 into your TV’s 3.5mm headphone jack and set it to TX mode. C28 transmits the audio wirelessly to your AirPods. The TV’s internal speaker mutes automatically when the headphone jack is in use. Works with all AirPods models.
Can I stream music from my phone wirelessly to a wired speaker using this?
Yes — this is C28’s RX mode. Plug it into your wired speaker’s aux input and set to RX. Then pair your phone to C28 via Bluetooth. Works with any wired speaker, home stereo, or amplifier with a 3.5mm aux input.
What devices can I plug C28 into as a source or output?
Any device with a 3.5mm headphone or aux port: older TVs, car stereos, turntables, CD players, wired speakers, home stereo, soundbars, gym treadmills, PCs, laptops, projectors, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation controllers, and airplane seat audio jacks.
Everything you need to know about C28.
Model C28 Bluetooth version 5.0 Modes TX (transmitter) · RX (receiver) Wireless range Up to 10m / 33ft (open space) Battery life 6 hours Charge time 1 hour Charging port USB-C Audio Stereo (2-channel) Connector Detachable 3.5mm TRS stereo — replaceable with any standard 3.5mm stereo cable Working frequency 2.4GHz Dimensions 59.5 × 22 × 12mm Weight 50g Installation Plug & play — no app, no drivers required In the box C28 unit · Detachable 3.5mm TRS plug · USB-C charging cable
How long does the battery last and how do I charge it?
Up to 6 hours per charge under typical use. Charges fully in approximately 2 hours via the included USB-C cable. The LED indicates charging status. C28 can also be used while charging if needed — useful for long car journeys or desktop setups.
C28 won’t connect or keeps disconnecting — how do I fix it?
Hold the button for 5s until the LED flashes rapidly. This clears C28’s memory and puts it into fresh pairing mode. It will pair with the next Bluetooth device that enters pairing mode within range. This reset resolves almost all connection issues.
Is there an audio delay when watching video on TV?
C28 uses SBC Bluetooth with typical latency of 150–200ms. For music, podcasts, and calls that is imperceptible. For video on TV, slight audio-video sync gap may be noticed. For music listening and casual TV audio, most find performance excellent.
What does “detachable connector” mean — can I replace it if it breaks?
Yes. The 3.5mm TRS plug separates from the C28 body. If it ever wears out, or if you need a different cable length for your car aux port, simply plug in any standard 3.5mm TRS stereo cable in its place.
What is the wireless range and will it work through walls?
Up to 10 metres (33 feet) in open space. In typical home or car use, stable audio is maintained throughout a room or vehicle. Walls and obstructions reduce the effective range — in most standard room sizes the connection remains clear throughout.
Know Your C28: Components, LED Indicators, and the Right Way to Connect
Blue LED = RX mode (receive audio from your phone). Red LED = TX mode (send audio to headphones).
Use the Rx/Tx toggle switch to change modes.
Press the Action Button to power on, pair, or reset.
Insert the 3.5mm TRS plug fully to avoid noise or silence. The plug is detachable and replaceable.
Instant plug-and-play — no app, no menus, no pairing codes: Plug the C28 into any 3.5mm aux jack and it pairs with your AirPods, JBL, Bose, or Sony headphones in seconds. One button switches between transmitter mode (send audio out) and receiver mode (bring audio in). Nothing to configure — ever.
Brings Bluetooth to any device made before wireless — instantly: Works with vintage stereos, Victrola & turntable record players, older TVs without Bluetooth, classic car aux inputs (pre-2015 vehicles), CD players, gym treadmills, projectors, and airplane seats. If it has a 3.5mm headphone or aux jack, C28 makes it wireless — no technician, no adapter tangle.
Up to 6 hours per charge — built for daily commutes and short trips: Fully recharges in 2 hours via the included USB cable. Perfect for a daily car ride, gym session, or an evening at home. For longer journeys, charge it overnight or keep a power bank handy — it charges while it works via USB. Battery level shows on the red/blue LED indicator.
Stable 10-metre connection in both TX and RX modes — and a 5-second fix if it ever drops: Maintains clear audio up to 33ft in open space. Compatible with AirPods (all models), most Bluetooth headphones, speakers, and car audio systems. If pairing ever fails, hold the button for 5 seconds to reset — it re-pairs fresh in under 3 seconds. No call to support needed.
Works with virtually everything that has a 3.5mm port — phones, tablets, and beyond: Compatible with iPhone, Android, iPad, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation controllers, Samsung TVs, LG TVs, older Sony and Pioneer receivers, Garageband setups, and most Bluetooth speakers and headsets. One compact adapter. Dozens of use cases. No driver installation required.

Great device—super useful
I’m very happy with the GMCELL Bluetooth 5.0 Adapter 3.5mm Jack Aux Dongle, 2-in-1 Wireless Transmitter. It’s a great way to connect my old devices with Bluetooth, and it works great. The adapter is small and lightweight, so it’s easy to carry around. It also has a long battery life, so I don’t have to worry about it running out of power while I’m using it.The sound quality is excellent. The adapter doesn’t distort the sound at all, and it has a wide range of frequencies. I can hear all the details in my music, even at high volumes.I’ve been using the adapter for a few weeks now, and I’ve had no problems with it. It’s a great product, and I would definitely recommend it to others. Here are some of the pros and cons of the GMCELL Bluetooth 5.0 Adapter 3.5mm Jack Aux Dongle, 2-in-1 Wireless Transmitter:Pros:Small and lightweightLong battery lifeExcellent sound qualityEasy to useAffordableCons:None that I’ve found so farOverall, I’m very happy with the GMCELL Bluetooth 5.0 Adapter 3.5mm Jack Aux Dongle, 2-in-1 Wireless Transmitter. Worked like a charm! Works through walls, without loss up to about 30 feet away!
Great little product. I have a receiver type of one in my car and have used it for YEARS so I can listen to my phone thru my car speakers using bluetooth but I needed the Transmitter function this one has so I can hook it up to my Denon stereo receiver and listen to my JVC turntable using my AKG wireless/bluetooth headphones. Also works well with my bluetooth wireless earbuds. The little Transmitter/Receiver switch on the side has to be switched to the right setting – and it’s nearly impossible to see the “Tx”, “Rx” stamped on it – had to use a magnifying glass. Also – this has a mini-stereo plug – so you’ll need one of those 1/4″ stereo to 1/8″ stereo converters because most vintage stereo receivers (like my Sony, Sansui and this Denon) all have 1/4″ stereo plugs. I have accumulated lots of those over the years so I didn’t buy one so I cannot recommend one – but you’ll want one that has the 1/4″ stereo male to 1/8″ female connector – and don’t get the ones with the 1/8″ female connectors that ‘screw in’ – oh – I’ll just go to Amazon and find the one you want – this one: VCE 6.35mm (1/4 inch) Male to 3.5mm (1/8 inch) Female Stereo Audio Jack Adapter. $7 for two gold plated ones. Hmm. I may buy these – they are probably better than the ones I have!

Works great, but some weird connectivity stuff (with iPhones at least)
Sound quality is great, I use it in my car all the time, and the battery life seems good too.The range is very good, it can cover the entirety of an average Subway restaurant (I work there and use it on the speakers), but sometimes it cuts in and out if there’s a large metal object between you. Another thing is that when you first connect to it, sometimes it disconnects you and you have to connect again, but after that it works fine. If someone else connects to it it will do this to them, and then do it to you again when you reconnect. I don’t know about Android phones, but on my iPhone, when you turn it off, the little icon at the top of the screen goes away, but in your settings it still shows as connected, and you’ll have to disconnect to allow someone else to connect to it. If you choose to disconnect after you turn it off, when you turn it back on it will automatically connect. If you don’t disconnect after turning it off, when you turn it back on you’ll have to go into your setting and just tap on it will work again. It also registers to your phone (at least iPhones) as a pair of headphone with a microphone, however it doesn’t have a microphone, so if you answer a phone call you’ll have to switch to speaker so they can hear you. I’ve only used the transmitter (Tx) mode once to make sure it worked, and it seemed to work fine although the took a bit before it would connect to my headphones.Volume control is fine, although it’s much quieter than I feel like it should be. When I plug my phone into my car via a cable the volume levels seem about the same as the radio, but when I plug this in I have to turn the car volume up much farther to achieve the same volume level.Although it can be a bit quiet, it works amazingly. The weird connectivity stuff is the only thing keeping this review from being 5 star.

Junk
I have a iPod (not Bluetooth capable) I wanted to use with a portable Bluetooth speaker. I wanted to use this transmitter to connect the two. However, it doesn’t work. When I got this thing, the battery was flat. After charging it with the micro USB port (no USB-C here). I was able to turn it on and get it connected to my speaker… But no music would play from my speaker. After checking the volume and repairing it a few times without success. I tried pairing it to my Bluetooth headphones. They paired and I could Hear the Music…. in mono-sound. These thing are advertised as being “stereo ” but they don’t use stereo sound.I paid money for this thing but it can’t play Money by Pink Floyd correctly. This issue is likely why it didn’t work correctly with my speaker. I was using a JBL Flip 5, that is a mono-speaker and I am guessing that was some how the issue? both ear buds played music in sync when I tried them. The sound quality could only be described as serviceable. Not good, but not That bad.The instruction are near impossible to read and they an brief to uselessness and in size 3 font. My thumbnail is bigger then a short paragraph of the instructions, They are Tiny!!P.S. Yes the iPod puts out a stereo sound signal I checked using a old wired set of head phones.

Perhaps a quick fix needing bt condom connecting
This was a item I thought would be okay to go lower to “upper cheap” when the function is so basic. Worked great for awhile. It all held together snug and no issues connecting. But after about 2 or 3 weeks I noticed it getting loose around the edge. And sound quality did go down. The power cord slot was wearing also and not keeping a for connection to charge. So had to leave it plugged in am the time.
