A little complicated with the setup, my bmw was very easy to connect the ford however I had to unplug and replug a couple times, other than that works amazing connects as soon as I turn the car on without any issues. Amazing but Inconsistent
I was excited to get this because it seemed like it would work. It Connects like it’s supposed to, has a slight lag but not major, however there are bigger issues. First, it Randomly disconnects, especially if you go in Reverse and back in Drive, the screen disappears, the Apple Carplay button on the screen grays out and you have to unplug it and plug it back in.Moving on, so Netflix streams as it should, slight lag when scrolling but its still functional. But you need hotspot or wifi connection otherwise it won’t work. Tik Tok Lite (not the regular version) and Youtube are problematic. Tik Tok Lite, you can log in, but only works on the “For You” page and only shows one or two videos tops. See pictures. Every other option says “Network Error” even though I am connected, have full bars and excellent signal strength. Now YouTube, I also logged in to my account, it plays a video, but after a few seconds of watching an error pops up (see pictures). And this happens for all videos, doesn’t matter what you select. I checked to make sure I have no restrictions, I have excellent signal strength, but still get an error. Netflix plays great, but if you go in reverse (the backup camera comes on) and you go back in Drive, the screen goes dark and the video stops playing. You have to restart/disconnect it from the usb port and reconnect it.I logged into the Play Store, thought that I was on to something, but lo and behold, trying to download anything else, it actually goes through the download process but then fails after it gets to 100%. Now I understand that you posted an answer to someone who mentioned trying to download Facebook and that not being an option. So does that mean we can’t download any other apps at all? If so, I’m fine with that, but for Youtube not to work like its supposed to, thats an issue.This device could be a great addition, if what is advertised works properly. I checked for updates, ensured the wifi connection was solid, and made sure the region was correct & thats another thing; the region keeps resetting to some random location and I have to keep going to the settings, change the location to US and the time zone to Eastern Time. Very frustrating to do that every single time it’s powered on. The time/region does not save.Hope to hear back, maybe its something that I need to do or am doing wrong. Or maybe theres a newer version & I can send this one back, or whatever the solution may be, I hope we can work something out.

Works takes a few minutes to connect first time but after that your good. My only problem is it doesn’t use moblie data you have to have Hotspot on your phone or car. I also wanted to maybe have the opportunity to mirror my phone but not with this device.

I tested this adapter for a month now and my opinion is that this Product is not worth the money. It takes a long time for the phone to connect via CarPlay. (iPhone). When it does connect eventually, phone calls have a bad quality. The person on the other end tells me that I sound funny as I’m in the bath tub.Another bad point is that an active phone call will be disrupted when a text message comes in and restores when the message is done receiving.Sounds like bad static and the other person is fragmented.I rather plug in my usb cable for a solid connection and full functionality.Not sure if it is just mine but I am not using it anymore

Item literally nearly snapped in half….locking handle plastic tab broken on first use. No longer safe to use. Product support website no longer available. Complete waste of money and in my opinion dangerous –
Constantly disconnecting audio issues and extremely slow connection when it works. When using it crashes after about 15mins of use you have to un plug and start all over don’t waste your time or money
