GET SOMETHING BETTER! SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY!
I worked with the problems that came with this media console for almost a year. At first it was fine but things just kept getting worse.But I am getting more and more frusterated with it over time.The list of glitches/problems I can remember and how often it happens-audio cutting out for a fraction of a second. Happens all the time during every drive now-connects to phone but won’t play audio/doesn’t connect to android auto. Happens often and during drives sometimes and you don’t know when it will start working again.-cannot look at google map, on maps app on the phone if you hit “start”. This is so annoying but I have gotten used to it.-audio for apps is different. If I want to listen to a youtube video I need my audio almost to the max to hear it. Then when I’m done or put my car into reverse it will auto play my music and blast it as loud as possible everytime without the chance to turn it down first.-can’t control audio with phone. I have Samsung s23 so maybe it’s different with alpple but I would bet money that it is not.-media console sending too much voltage to oem speakers. One of my speakers after installing this will make a popping noise anytime i turn my car on no matter what.-can’t go on internet (youtube, google, etc.) unless you use your phone hotspot or wifi. And at that point why tf wouldn’t you just use your phone or go inside and watch whatever.I’m getting too butthurt to continue this because I’m way past the return window and I might have to buy another media console. Just spend the extra money on something higher quality.

No steering wheel controls, and randomly reboots a lot
I have a 2009 Ford Escape, after installing this unit I found out that the provided canbus not work with the 2nd gen Ford escape. This unit also reboots randomly every 20-40 minutes. Overall it looks great, the graphics are clean, but the head unit is just garbage, I’d look for a better unit.

Still waiting to hear from support about muffled mic
I purchased this for the easy of installation. There’s no need to splice or solder any wires, which is good. Instructions are a bit lackluster, so I just kind of had to figure it out a bit.Currently waiting to hear back from support on muffled microphone sound. There is a built-in microphone, but I also connected the external microphone. From what I found online with these stereos, you might need to change the system to tell it to use the external microphone, however I cannot find a setting to change it. The official Rimoody website has a few FAQs, otherwise, it just points back to Amazon.I will say, overall the system is very responsive and the sound is good.Here are a couple pointers: It doesn’t look like you can use the OEM backup camera. I attached the external microphone, but it is currently a muffled sound. I cannot find a way to confirm the external mic is being used (there is an onboard mic as well). You should review the settings, for example, the time zone is set to Shanghai. It looks like these are rebrands, for example, this one is a Podofo with CarPlay built-in. I bought a similar model for another vehicle and that is not Podofo and uses something called JLink. I could not connect to my home wifi, but I could connect to the hotspot on my phone. You can update the canbus via wifi, but OS updates are done using a file. I have no idea how I would even do that, and I did not really look on their site for any instructions.It would be really nice if support got back to me about the microphone issue. If/when I hear back, I will update my review.
