Apple CarPlay works great and was easy to install

Pretty trash
Without a volume knob changing the volume was really annoying. The temperature wasn’t even comprehensible; just arbitrary numbers. I think it went from like 400-675 or something wild like that. Not Fahrenheit or Celsius.When you turn the car off and get out the music doesn’t stop for like 10 seconds, so if you don’t pause it as you’re going out then your music will just be playing in your locked car for a surprisingly long time.Takes a fairly long time to connect to CarPlayscreen is really low resolutionNone of the settings actually do anythingYou’re not actually going to use YouTube or Netflix because you would have to connect to WiFi at home and download all the stuff before leaving. Or you could connect the truck to your hotspot and blow through all your hotspot dataInstallation kinda sucks, but you’ll figure it out. I had to put it in and take it out a few times and once you know what’s going on it really does make a lot of sense and goes really fast.Installation tips: sit on the center console, don’t try to do it from the driver seat. You can, it’s just difficult. Also, press the brake and move the shifter to the back; it gives you a lot more room to work. But biggest tip is just don’t install it. It’s trash

Decent unit for the price
So the install was pretty easy, it took me about 30 minutes once I had found all my tools (this was a me being disorganized issue). From there I had an existing maestro harness that I unhooked and left out for now (I’m not sure if I will need it later or not). From there once the other aftermarket (I bought the truck used) harness was out it was 5 or 6 connections. The portion for the ac control was fairly intuitive, basically just pull the parts you need and move them over to the new panel pieces. I’m still missing the hands free controls, but all other steering controls work for tuning, volume, ect. So far no issues and it turns on just fine. My AC modules are all showing correctly with the only thing is my vehicle is now reading in Kilometers rather than miles which the sync portion isn’t working which may have been an installation issue. The instructions do leave a bit to be desired though.

Works well but small details to take care
The unit instructions are sketchy, you need to figure out few things:1-You must remove all pin clips from old unit, as well as, the 2 control boards. Search in youtube to find a procedure.2-Depending the type of board for AC controls, you need to switch the bottom trim, in my case, the controls has some gears, so I need to switch it. Don’t try to force the fit between the board and trim.3-cable connection: the one half page illustration is almost enough, there are two types of OEM radios (sync 2 and/or 3) look carefully every detail in the wiring connection, and YES the 2 big connectors needs to be connected again.Performance:The setup is almost fully intuitive. For Carplay you need to enter in the Bluetooth setting to see the pin for pairing. Then, you need go back to main menu and search for the wifi to create the Hotspot connection for the wireless.All buttons in the stirring wheel and the OEM camera works well.Sound system works, but It doesn’t look like is better than before, but makes the job done.THE BAD:- the head unit doesn’t have any sound settings to regulate bass, treble, midst, balance, etc.- The phone calls has double voice for the caller, I don’t know if there is a condition or there are settings to fix.- The speed of the system is slow, so be patient.- I didn’t found the way to connect the OEM usb ports to the head unit. If someone can guide me, I’ll appreciate the assistance, I hate the USB provided cables.In Conclusion:It works, I assume for the price range is good, we need to test the durability part.Enjoy it
