I was honestly impressed with these rock lights right out of the box. The build quality feels solid with the aluminum housing, and they seem durable enough to handle rough conditions. The 6500K pure white light is super bright and crisp… not that dull or yellowish tone you sometimes get. It gives a really clean underglow look, especially at night. The waterproof rating (IP68) is a huge plus, and I feel confident using these on my truck in rain or mud without worrying about damage. Incredibly bright and durable rock lights — almost too bright for my use
I picked up this set of four rock lights because I wanted some durable lights I could mount on my UTVs to improve visibility for safety during rides. I actually have two UTVs, so my original plan was to install two lights on each machine.The first thing I noticed when I opened the box was that these lights are built really well. The housings are solid aluminum and feel very durable, which is exactly what you want for something that will be mounted on an off-road vehicle.When I hooked them up to test them, my immediate reaction was “wow.” These things are incredibly bright.Rock lights are normally used underneath off-road vehicles to illuminate the ground, suspension, or trail area. For that purpose these would be excellent. However, my original plan was a little different. I was considering pointing them forward and backward and running them through a flashing module to make my UTV more visible.After seeing how bright they are, I realized that pointing one of these directly backward could probably blind someone pulling up behind me, which obviously isn’t ideal.That said, there are still a lot of ways I may end up using them. I’m considering installing one or two inside the cab as courtesy lights, or mounting a pair toward the front sides of the UTV to give me some lateral illumination on night rides. My light bar does a great job lighting straight ahead, but side lighting can still be useful.Another nice feature is the long wiring leads. There’s plenty of wire on each light, which makes installation much easier without needing to splice additional wire.Even though they ended up being brighter than what I originally needed, these are clearly high-quality lights and would be perfect for anyone looking for powerful rock lights for an off-road vehicle.
