Great BT (or headphone/line) to FM bridge
Like this thing. It automatically (or accidentally) mixes the line input with the bluetooth source and you can get some nice cross-fade effects with it. Transmit range is very short, measured in low 2-digit inches, but that’s expected with a device like this. Also, if you have a low-amplitude signal, sometimes FM noise will bleed through. I used it for 3-4 hrs in a row on the internal battery and it’ll happily run off the USB-C while charging the internal battery–which means you can use it even after the battery gets weak as long as you keep it plugged in. It is a little complicated to setup (they provide a manual that is accurate, but it is hard to keep up with a giant manual for something this small). I was able to pair it with an old apple iPod-nano (7th gen had bluetooth) and my new pixel phone without issues. Solid implementation of such a device and I’m glad I picked one up. quality of sound is obviously going to be limited to FM in my case, but it was great on my old boombox and the other FM receivers I was using. (a sansui and some new-fangled digital ones) I did not try the bluetooth rx, as I have dedicated devices for that that are easier to setup/use, but the display on this one is easy to read and gets most of what you need on it.

Absolute Trash
What should customers know? This is trash. I can put up with most but this is just terrible. I don’t understand how someone sells this with a straight face. Does not matter how loud your device is, the attenuation over FM is useless, your radio will need to be at 9 to hear this, with all the headroom and noise. Oh, it shuts off every 2 mins, regardless of charge. Tossing in the trash and charging back to the merchant, and if Amazon continues to let people sell trash, I’ll find elsewhere to get what I need, absolutely stay away. Do NOT connect Bluetooth to any sensitive device either. Trash.

Works perfectly fine as FM transmitter…until you leave your garage
Review update:Unfortunately, once I started driving about town, the pre-tuned FM frequency became an active station and my music dropped. I read instructions to see how to change the frequency and nothing worked. I contacted scosche— the mfr—via their website. The response I got was as if they did not understand English. Further, they did not offer a solution at all. A week has passed now, waiting for response, so I just returned it through Amazon. I’m going to try some other chinese made device with thousands of reviews at 4.5 stars. Maybe I’ll get lucky. Don’t buy this one unless you plan to stay in your garage…lolConsidering Bluetooth audio quality, this product delivers on a par. I used it as FM transmitter as my older, classic vehicle does not have an aux in or Bluetooth unless you use their 2001 phone…lol. Tape loop, wired connection via one of those cassettes, EVEN MONSTER’S version, delivers far worse sound quality than this. You’re at the mercy of tape head and carriage with those; they are poor. But neither can deliver HD music from source anyway due to Bluetooth. I think this has to be as good as the 15 times more expensive gadget guy product I was about to try. There can’t be a major difference as both are Bluetooth. In my predicament, this product is very satisfactory and recommendable.

Great purchase for older vehicles
Use it in my 99’ corolla with no Bluetooth and it works great, connects to fm flawlessly and has little static with use. would buy again for sure.

Works, but has some flaws
I have several FM modulator transmitters that I have used over the past 15 years. I broadcast TV audio over FM for sporting events. I have some generic units, as well as other Scoche branded products. This one here is the first FM transmitter I have used that has a bluetooth function.BT receiver connectivity is great. Very reliable, and easy to connect to my ipad, windows PC and android phone.1/5 stars as an FM transmitter. The FM signal is extremely weak and substantially low output. So you have to crank up the volume of your FM radio receiver, and in so doing you amplify the FM noise. If you just want to hear sound from your BT source… I guess it kind of works for that. But along with the sound you are trying to hear from your phone or BT source there is substantial background noise, buzz and hiss.3/5 stars as a portable BT receiver. It works OK as a portable bluetooth receiver for wired headphones, with some caveats. There is no microphone feature. It is BT audio/sound ONLY. There is no dedicated volume control. Volume is set using the BT source. The bass output is weak, so if you are using it as a music listening device be prepared for a bass-light sound signature. I have some headphones that are slightly bass-boosted and this device makes them sound better in my opinion.I bought this unit primarily for its FM transmitter / modulator function so I give it 2/5 stars overall. Although I have found a use for it as a BT receiver.

Guys, DO NOT BUY THIS if you want to use it as FM TRANSMITTER. Very poor performance with low quality. Mono with low sound heard. Didn’t serve my purpose.
