Very nice display and easy to install
This thing is awesome. I had another CarPlay screen in my 2014 BMW X3 that I bought off of eBay and it worked for a year but recently stopped connecting to my phone and would only play sound from the front left speaker. So, I took a chance on this one and I have to say, it’s way nicer than what I used to have. First, this was super simple to install. If you have a dash removal tool, a #20 hex driver, and 30 minutes of free time, you can totally install this on your own. Second, the quality is way above other similar displays I’ve seen. The screen has a thin aluminum bezel, it’s super thin, it has a nice anti-glare coating on the screen, and the screen is a glorious 12” wide. Unlike my old display, this one connects to my phone automatically and then launches CarPlay – almost like it’s an OEM product – and the interface is lightning fast to load and is very responsive to the idrive controls. I hope this one lasts longer than a year but I bought the assurion extended warranty, just in case. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this. I was annoyed when the last one stopped working but this ended up being a nice upgrade over what I had before.

Perfect Upgrade
This thing is awesome. My stock display had a big dead spot on the screen so needed a replacement. This thing is a huge upgrade. Much larger screen, touch screen, has Android Auto and Car Play, and was super easy to install. The screen fits the spot perfectly, as if it was made and installed by BMW. Its still works with the iDrive controller, and add the touchscreen features too.I had a small issue (my fault) with buying and receiving the wrong type of screen mount for my car. Road Top support quickly found a solution, so I can confirm their support team is there and available to help if any problems arise.Highly recommend this as an upgrade to the stock BMW iDrive “infotainment” system.

Get extended warranty!!!!!
Works perfectly, OEM, for about 14 months. Then it doesn’t. Absolutely no customer service. Their answer was buy and install a new one. It’s not only a waste of money, but installation is a bear. This time I got an extended warranty from Amazon. We plan on keeping the car for 2 more years so I hope we’re good.

You get what you pay for
It does work. It looks great imo installed. It’s not hard to install but tricky to get everything in place. Screen quality is great. Audio actually sounds better. It does fully use Bluetooth for sound. All original idrive is retained. Now for the bad: It’s clunky to operate. You have to use your cars Bluetooth connection in order to get sound for Car Play. That’s makes things confusing and annoying. It leads to laggy delays while switching from source to source. CarPlay usually disconnects and requires the car to be shut off, door opened and then restarted in order for it work again and not divert the audio back to your phone. The startup screen is very generic and not user defined. Looks cheap, out of place and not OE. When using Siri to send or answer messages, a popping/crack happens sometimes to remind you of your choice. AirPlay does not work at all which is greatly disappointing. I wish I had gotten the Android version instead.

Great unit for the price
Definitely a nice way to modernize your f25. Install was pretty easy (as people already mentioned there’s YouTube videos).BUT I will mention just because It threw me off and there’s other people that mentioned this issue also.When you install this unit make sure to change the resolution to the correct resolution of your original display in settings OR ELSE you will get pixilated screen when you try and access the cars original idrive system.Definitely worth $200. Apple car play works seamlessly which is the reason why I got this in the first place.

Could improve but a lot better than original
Installation is easy and fits perfect! but reference videos are no profesional and you can make mistakes. Written instructions are not enough to DIY.Audio quality improved a lot you will love it.From reverse camera to CarPlay back takes 20 seconds (whole live when you are driving) I expect vendor read this to improve firmware.You can’t change startup screen and is terrible, fortunately it appears a few seconds.From time to time it looses connection with iPhone.Regardless improvements pending it a lot better than OEM, so I’ll buy it again.It uses battery same as OEM, I read a review on this and that works perfect.12 inches screen in BMW x4 f26 with CarPlay and IPhone
