Awesome Product and Amazing Support
Great product! Highly recommend! Installation is straightforward. Many videos on the web show how to take the dash apart and install this type of unit. I installed it in my wife’s 2018 Mercedes Benz C300 in about 2 hours. I took my time to make sure I didn’t damage anything. We bought the car new and loved everything about it except the radio/navigation. It wasn’t touch screen and had no Apple Carplay or Andriod Auto.This unit fixed all that. Feels like a new car now. I have tested it with wireless Apple Carplay and wireless Andriod Auto. You can switch back to OEM view and see the original system and it works the same as stock. If you touch the screen it brings you back to the Road Top screen. When in Apple Carplay or Andriod Auto, if you adjust the HVAC temp a screen overlay pops up with the temp. This was a nice surprise as I didn’t think it would be possible for them to do that.Support was also very responsive. After installation when I adjusted the HVAC temperature the overlay popped up and displayed the temp in Celsius. I could not find a setting to switch it to Fahrenheit. I sent an email to support and after a couple of emails and in 2 days they sent me a new software update that added a setting to change the temperature unit. The update was easy to install and an option was now in settings to set the temperature units.Once installed and set up, using it is seamless. You get in the car and start it. The system boots up, audio connects and starts playing music and the screen goes straight into Apple Carplay or Andriod Auto without touching anything.All the original car audio controls work in Carplay, in addition to the touchscreen. This is a great product if you are looking for Carplay or Android Auto support in your MB C300!

It is an excellent product. Performs almost perfectly as described. In my case (2017 C63s AMG coupe) routing of the cables took a while and had to be done on the left side of the air conditioning ducts. Given that the head unit does not provide an enabled AUX audio input I decided to use BT for all connections. For best results, I recommend linking your phone directly to the head unit and not using the BT connection from the linux screen to the head unit. This way you retain all the functionality of selection the sound source of the original car equipment and when you want to use Android auto you switch the head unit source input to BT on your phone and voila, you get all the sound directly from the phone but you control everything on the linux touch screen user interface or through voice commands. Your phone has to be able to establish two concurrent BT connections. The connection to the Linux screen is only temporary during setup of the wireless WIFI connection that Android auto uses. Once the WIF link is established, the BT connection to the linux screen is dropped. Sometimes, to get the WIFI connection goin g, you have to manually connect the BT lin k to the lnux screen. The installation manual could use some improvement on the description of the different setup parameters, Specially relevant for the wireless connection setup. Overall very satisfied.

AWFUL, DOESN’T WORK, POOR QUALITY. Nothing works well in this piece a s**** equipment. BT never connects and if you try to use the OEM, forget it, you’ll have to set all over again and the sound of waze or google maps whatever you are using comes out from your PHONE. As a “workaround”, every single time you start your car, you’ll have to go to the configuration menu and try to FORCE the BT of this equipment to connect with you car, EVERY TIME. Very often gets frozen and loses connection with the android auto. Now I have this piece of trash installed in my car (and I paid for that) and I will have to pay again to remove it and reinstall the original one. REGRET is the word. DON’T BUY UNLESS YOU LIKE TO BE PISSED OFF.

I’ve been using this product for a few days now and overall, I’m very satisfied. The installation process is straightforward, especially if you have previous experience with radio installations. The interface is clean and responsive, and once set up, CarPlay functions seamlessly. The only issue I’ve encountered is when playing music via USB—the system tends to switch to the radio after about five minutes. I haven’t yet determined the cause, but since I primarily use Bluetooth, this hasn’t been a significant concern. Aside from that, no complaints so far.
