I like it!
My husband kept buying car phone holders to put in my car for when he drives it that I don’t like. He purchased one that stuck in the vent and block the air flow, one that took up one of my cup holders and blocked buttons and the console, and one that suction-cupped to the dash and stuck out pretty far. As you can tell, I didn’t like any of those and kept throwing them in the back floor board as I drive my car the majority of the time.When I saw this design I felt it might be a nice compromise for the 2 of us. It takes up a lot LESS space than any of the other designs we’ve had and doesn’t block my dash or view out the windshield. It holds my phone firmly (I have a iPhone 15 in a hard case) and I am still able to plug it in and charge it on longer trips. It is visibly in a safer location for GPS directions as well. (I don’t text or watch things on it while driving, only GPS for traveling.) It did take me a couple of seconds to figure out how to hold it so I could squeeze and attach it to the mirror but after I figured it out, the grips moved smoothly with very little muscle effort. Attaching the phone was also an easy effort.2 cons or suggestions to improve the design:1–I use a sunshield when I park and it is harder to get it up on the dash and behind the rearview mirror with this holder.2–The knobs over the mirror may not be necessary if there was a redesign where it would fit on the rearview mirror arm itself. Currently it is fine, those nodules are just large and stick out pretty far.Overall, I am very happy with this phone holder and prefer this design/style over any other.

Helpful phone mount

Does not fit rear view mirror consoles in modern cars
This construction is not suitable for use in newer cars because the hooks for mounting it on the rearview mirror are too close and cannot be extended beyond the wide mounting of the perpetual mirror. In newer cars, the rearview mirrors do not hang on a thin metal rod under the roof but are typically attached to a wide plastic structure. The spacing of the hooks in this mount is too narrow. I tried to install it in a 2024 Ford Mustang convertible and in a 2023 Dodge RAM 2500. In both cases, it was not possible to install this mount on the handy. Therefore, I cannot recommend this product for modern-day US cars. It might be a fit for older models, but that wasn’t applicable for me. Unfortunate, as the mount does appear very sturdy and of generally decent quality.

This review is for woleyi brand Rear View Mirror Car Phone Holder – [Four Claws Anti-Shake] Cell Phone Holder for Car Rearview Mirror with Multifunctional 360° Rotatable & Retractable Car Mount Clip for iPhone 15 14 13 12 11 Pro Max.The phone holder was delivered on-time, well-packaged and as described by the seller. Some assembly is required and pictorial instructions are included. I experienced a little difficulty attaching the metal bolt which holds the extension arm to the mirror clamp; it appears that the embedded nut was either misaligned or poorly threaded. It took a few minutes and a socket-wrench to overcome this inconvenience for which I have deducted one star from my rating. Once assembled, the phone-holder functions as expected; it spring-clamps firmly to the rear-view mirror, accommodates different sizes and orientations of devices and provides the required adjustments of arm-extension and angle-of-view to effectively hold the phone in a convenient position. I use my smart-phone for GPS/map applications in an older vehicle which does not have an integrated display and I have found no fully satisfactory solution for mounting the phone in the vehicle; this rear-view-mirror mount is as good as any I have tried. One favorable aspect of this woleyi mount is that I am able to adjust the position of the phone so that it does not directly obstruct my view of the road; the down-side is that this requires full extension of the arm such that the wobble-effect is increased. Once I have set up my destination on my map application, this phone –holder does what I need; I would not use it for any application which requires text input while driving.
