We have purchased more than 5 PlanetGPS Jupiter GPS trackers and have been using them in our machines for five weeks. We are thoroughly impressed with its performance, especially regarding battery life. The device itself feels solid and well-built, with a large 20,000 mAh built-in battery—there’s no need for external cases or add-ons, which is a huge plus.The magnet is strong enough for my needs, and I’ve had no issues placing it inside my vehicle. Where I have chosen to install the device, it doesn’t have a direct line of sight to the satellites, but it has been using cellular and Wi-Fi for location, and it’s been working adequately for my needs.Battery life has been the real standout feature for me. I’ve experimented with different tracking intervals, ranging from every minute to every hour, and the results have been fantastic. The best part is the mode that stops tracking when the device isn’t moving—this has made a noticeable difference in conserving battery life.To give you an idea, over a 35-day span, and after a mix of one-minute and one-hour tracking intervals, the battery was only down to 62%. That’s with a significant amount of time spent at the one-minute interval! Best value for Vehicle Tracking
The device and PlanetGPS service are excellent. The phone and web apps are packed with features but they aren’t exactly polished for the casual user. It takes some getting used to, but it will accurately locate your vehicle, and I cant find any cheaper service option that pairs a device with a high capacity battery. The customer service is basically non existent though. I asked a question and was just given a cut and paste paragraph from their user manual which did nothing to answer my question but it wasnt a deal breaker for me. The device updates location every 30 seconds or so and will notify you via push notification and email if your vehicle exits the perimeter you set.

The product said waterproof and moisture supposedly got in and fried the motherboard after 5 months of being inside the truck. You cannot talk to any representatives, only text, and they take their time to respond. Really bad product and service, and not real-time tracking. Bad advertisement.

The unit is hit or miss. It gives you a general idea of where your vehicle is, but does not pinpoint and is not always very close. Also, the diagnostics reader is inaccurate as well. I do not recommend this product.

Experience so far, more than a couple of months in, has been overall fairly positive. Getting set up was a little difficult, as I was having a little bit of a connectivity issue. I reached out to support, and they were very prompt and took the matter seriously. It was resolved within 24 hours. There was one more time I did need to reach out to the support for connecting into the app. They addressed the issue, and followed up twice.Great levels of support, a little bit expensive, but overall a good experience.The battery life has been excellent, see the photo attached.
