Interference, low volume, and muffled sound
If you just need to get sound into your vehicle that only has an aux port (3.5mm jack) this can be a great way to do that. However, even with the phone’s bluetooth cranked up all the way, and the car’s (2011 Sante Fe), turned way up, the audio is pretty quiet at best.Playing music isn’t great, as the sound is very tinny and doesn’t carry the full range of sound. And then there’s the constant hum and clicking coming through the speakers on this.For ease of use, this gets 5 stars. Plug in, hit connect on the phone, and go. It also is a strong connection, meaning it’s not dropping out every 3 minutes (like the bluetooth on the car’s stereo). It’s also small, and pretty compact – so depending on your car’s layout going from USB port to audio this should fit most vehicles.But as for sound quality, which is key for this, it really needs a bit more work. If they can work out those issues with a firmware update or something, this would be a pretty awesome connectivity device.
