Very impressed with Moto Watchdog – both the product and the support. It was quite simple to install and set up, works flawlessly, provides outstanding tracking and it gives notifications in a timely and accurate manner. It is also easily customizable for individual needs, particularly the geofencing and vehicle status alerts.The cost is quite reasonable, particularly with no subscription expense, and while I was admittedly a bit skeptical before buying, after having the Moto Watchdog OBD for over a year, any skepticism has been replaced with confidence.In regard to support, when I upgraded to a new phone, I thought I had a notification issue and wrote their support on a Friday night. Saturday morning I woke up to a response and following their advice, everything was operating perfectly (simply uninstall and reinstall the app and it essentially fixed everything – couldn’t be more simple). I rarely write a review but their great product and amazing support made this an exception.Definitely a company and product I will turn to whenever the need arises.

Fantastic!
I was looking for a tracker that could give me peace of mind with no extra payments or trouble. This is it!Super easy to set up, just plug to the OBD port in the car, and that’s it. You can even open the box, plug the device to the car, and leave. Then everything else is done in the app which is quite easy to do and once the car is used, it will get the signal in a few minutes. I bought two; the first one needed a short drive to get the signal, which is normal, and the second one got it as soon as I plugged it. It has a ton of functions, it notifies you when the car is started and off, and after each trip you get an email with a summary of the trip, including a map to see the route. The very best part is that there is no subscription. Whenever I get another car, I will definitely buy more!

Great tracker without the monthly cost
This works great for what I need. I bought two of these for two different vehicles. This lets you know when a vehicle starts, where it goes, the speed of the vehicle, and when it stops. It has more features than I need. The only thing that I don’t like is that sometimes the alerts are delayed, and sometimes the location is not 100% accurate. Often times it will say that a car is idle for a couple hours, when I know it’s off. Sometimes the patch the vehicle shows is not accurate. For example, it can show a vehicle going through a field or other places that it did not go. However, to not have to pay a monthly fee and to have a really good idea of where your car is at, this device works for me. I use it to track young adults using my vehicles, so I can tell when they leave, and where they go.

I wasn’t expecting much when I got this device, but I was pleasantly surprised at how well it works. It was very simple to install and set up. The app is well made, runs smoothly, it’s pretty easy to use and looks very polished. I haven’t had any problems with the connections, and the best part is that it transmits data via 4G (FOR FREE). The initial investment is a little bit high, but after you factor in the monthly savings of not having to pay for a subscription (which can be up to $10 a month), the price becomes a no-brainer. I’m VERY happy with this device (but my kids aren’t 🙂

Terrible Design, Unusable App, Waste of Time
The Moto Watchdog Tracker is one of the most frustrating devices I’ve ever used. The concept sounds great — no monthly tracking fees — but the execution is awful.First, you have to pair it with your phone, but the app constantly crashes. If you scroll too fast or tap settings too quickly, the app just shuts down. It’s extremely unstable and feels unfinished. On top of that, the app has serious issues connecting to the actual device. Mine wouldn’t connect properly or even consistently show up on Bluetooth.I literally wasted half a tank of gas driving around trying to get it calibrated and connected. It never worked properly.Customer support is also a nightmare. It takes hours to get any meaningful help, and even then, the solutions don’t fix the core issues.To make things worse, the app doesn’t even have proper vehicle options. I tried adding my 2016 Kia Sportage, and it wasn’t even listed. The only Sportage options were 2013, 2019, and 2024. How does a tracking app not support common model years?Overall, the idea is good, but the product is poorly executed. Unstable app, connection problems, bad vehicle support, and slow customer service. I would not recommend this to anyone. Save your time and money.

Great tracker product!
I’ve had the OBD2 plug version for a couple months now, amd.it works great. Very accurate, and I like the app. Have not had any issues with down time on this product, and the notifications are pretty much on point. Depending on your model, make sure you have plenty of room around your port. On my son’s Hyundai, I had to remove the fuse panel cover. I’m going to buy one on Ebay or from the junkyard to trim and re-cover…but no big deal…

J’aime beaucoup ce tracteur et sans frais d’abonnement! Il se branche dans la prise OBD2 de la voiture et n’a pas besoin d’être rechargé.La carte est bien faite. L’historique est facile à consulter et on peut le revoir sur de très longue période.Le seul problème rencontré est que par moment, même si la voiture est stationnée et le moteur arrêté, il n’indique pas l’arrêt du moteur.Je le recommande et pense à en acheter un autre pour la deuxième voiture.
