I have had many of these types, cell phone holders and they never work. They either slip off of the dashboard or they don’t stick or something and this one actually does hold it.

Excellent & sturdy mount, but not compatible with my Elantra
Before I ordered this rearview mirror magsafe mount I already had a magsafe mount that used an adhesive/ suction cup to stick to the windshield glass but it frequently fell down especially in weather fluctuations. This mount is much sturdier & doesn’t fall down since it clips onto the rearview mirror. It also doesn’t jiggle around even on a bumpy dirt road. It keeps the phone in view & easy reach making using GPS navigation on the phone much safer. I like that it has a telescoping feature so it can be tucked away if need be without having to take it off the rearview mirror.The magnetic mount is strong & holds my Galaxy S22 Ultra very securely. I think it’s important to note it is largely dependent on having magsafe phone case with strong magnets in the phone case. I’ve tried many different magsafe cases & not all can hold their weight on a mount. The best ones for a phone mount like this are usually a glossy plastic without a design over the magnet piece.When I first tried to put the phone mount on my rearview mirror I struggled. It took me a few minutes to realize the top & bottom pieces of the phone extend out. Once I realized the clip had extendable pieces it was much easier to fully extend both pieces as wide as possible, pull it over the mirror, then readjust the extendable pieces to fit after it was already hanging on the mirror.I would give 5 stars if only it were compatible with my 2013 Hyundai Elantra Limited. On my Elantra, there is a little black box on the windshield behind the rearview mirror that I never noticed before. When the phone mount is clipped to the back of the rearview mirror the clip is squished between the mirror & the windshield box. The only way the clip fits between the box & mirror is to push the mirror forward; which changes angle I need the mirror to be at to use while driving.I gave it a try on a family member’s 2010 Ford Edge & it was a perfect fit for that car. It did not have any of the issues like I had in my Elantra. The Ford has a similar windshield attachment that the Elantra has but it is a much smaller piece that doesn’t interfere with the mount.*Value: The current price is $29.99 USD. A quick search & I’ve found multiple products that look identical to this one both in that price range & for less than half this price. The phone magsafe phone mount that I already had before this one also has a magsafe fast charging feature that I purchased for $26.99. The value for this mount is lacking. I’d take off .5 star for value if I could.

Perfect for heavier phone case
I am such a fan of this product because I have an otter case on my iphone 15 pro max with a pop socket. I have tried the other types of car holders, like the window suction and air vent. The window suction phone holders are messy, and this product does not involve any attaching to window. I don’t have apple car play, so this is my main reason why I like this product. I am able to charge my phone using the chord while using the holder as well. This product is ideal for me because it’s compatible, and I works well with my sun shade. It is easy to install and it is adjustable. I will say I needed to superglue the magnet to my phone because both had popped off my case and stuck to the magnet on the phone holder. Would recommend.

Better than any dash mounted phone holder!
