Sturdy, easy to install
I hate to think about how many phone mounts I’ve tried over the years. None of them have been perfect…till now! My 2019 Honda Osyssey has no flat and smooth places for a suction cup, so I’ve ended up with the sticky stuff, which works until it gets hot and then makes a mess. Husband objected to blocking vents, so vent mount was out. Tried the clamp ones but they never work on this van. Saw this one and thought I’d give it a try. So glad I did! Extremely easy to set up. It hooked right onto the vent and tightened down with a few twists of the front knob. Easy to remove and reposition or put on a different vent. It’s very secure but doesn’t seem to put any stress on the vent. It sticks up enough that the phone doesn’t block the vent. The knob doesnt block air flow significantly either. The arm that holds the phone mount up about 3″ doesn’t adjust, but I’m very happy with the height and the fact that it is one piece makes it very sturdy. You could mount it so the arm points down instead of up, but for the Odyssey, up is perfect. It doesn’t block driver’s view of the camera display at all. I could have mounted it on the vent to the left of the steering wheel, but husband liked it on the right side. It is super easy to mount the phone – just sit it on the bottom shelf and push the side arms in- one handed mount. I was worried that the arms would hit my android’s buttons, but it is well below the buttons. To release the phone, there is a button on the top back of the mount that’s easy to reach and feel. One hand mount and release. The bottom shelf is divided, so the charger can be.plugged in easily. I feel like I’ve FINALLY found THE phone mount! I highly recommend it.

I bought this for my mom’s Toyota because the way it’s shaped it’s very hard to find a phone holder. I’ve tried tons of these for both my car and my moms and for various reasons this one is by far the best one.1. Easy to install and move location. The first thing I like is how easy it is to move this from one place to another. It doesn’t have a big sticky suction cup that falls off in the heat and gets covered in dirt and dust when it does fall of. It’s a simple hook that is easily screwed and unscrewed in a matter of seconds and it does not damage any part of your car like the suction cups do.2. You can easily move the placement of the phone from above, below, or on either side of the vent. This is a huge plus b/c it’s really annoying when you have your heat or A/C on and you have to shut it off for your phone holder, but with this one you can keep it cranking!3. It holds large phones with case on. I have a bigger phone and my phone case always gets in the way of these type of phone holders but this one fits on perfectly no problem!4. Last but not least it comes with a lifetime guarantee that you can sign up for if it breaks which is awesome.

UPDATE: After leaving the review below eSamcore reached out and offered their newer magnet phone holder. As someone who leaves a review for every product I purchase on Amazon, I have to say I was super impressed because this was the first time a company has responded and tried to make it right, even though I still gave 3 stars despite the concern. That by itself made me very happy.They then sent me the newer product and sent it with the 3M VHB tape, letting me know that I could use that, or the magnet would still connect to my vent mount so I could choose which I liked best. I received the new mount today and tried it out and was extremely impressed by the more powerful magnet. The only thing that was more impressive was the customer service I recieved. I’ve worked in customer service for 8 years and the service I receieved has set a new expectation for myself. I absolutely love a company that tries to make a wrong right, but this company did way more than that. You went above and beyond and I can’t thank you enough for your consideration and attention to detail. If I could I’d give them a 100/5!I have a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. A phone holder that actually works!
I’ve tried other smartphone holders and was very frustrated that none of them ever seemed to stay in place, or work effectively. A friend suggested this one, so I decided to give it a try and I’m glad I did. I’ve got two – one in each car (mine and my wife’s). It’s very easy to set up, and it actually stays where you set it – not just where you attach it to the car, but the adjustable arm joints are nice and tight and stay where you set them. It’s surprisingly well made and I’ve been very happy with this product for well over a year now. It also sits in a location that’s perfect – in between your main driving console and your stereo console. It’s up a little higher, but doesn’t interfere with you field of vision. IMHO, it sits in an ideal spot.
