This is an overall good product. The material and construction seem like they will be durable. I own a Honda Civic, which has a very deep windshield (33″). While this shade is more than wide enough to cover from side to side, it is not big enough to be supported by the sun visors. Fortunately, it comes with 2 rubber suction cups that attach through holes in the upper corners (unadvertised feature). These suction cups work well to hold the top in place where the visors cannot. It does make it a little more difficult to take down when using the car, but so far it’s not a big deal. I just hope the suction cups last after repeated use, or this will no longer work for my car. For cars with windshields that are not as deep, I think this would work very well and last a long time.

Very deceptive advertising. Amazon add says “Big Hippo,” “Jumbo,” “Universal fit,” and for “Passenger Car, SUV, Truck.” Well, guess what? In the fine print it then says “will fit all SUV, Trucks, Vans & Cars with windshields not exceeding 55.16″X 27.5″ inches!” When it says in bold print Cars, SUVs, Trucks, and Universal Fit, who the bleep goes out to the garage with a tape measure to measure their windshield before hitting the Amazon order button??!!Well, My bad. I was a sucker; I did not see the fine print; I did not rush out with a tape measure to measure my windshield before ordering. Guess what? This sunshade is absurdly, ridiculously, unbelievably small. It was useless for my RAM 1500. It will maybe fit a Fiat 500 or 1963 Volkswagon Beetle.It also came folded in half and collapses during use. I saw some reviews complaining about this, but decided I could duct tape a stay down the center to strengthen it, if necessary. And it turns out that it would have been necessary….if it had fit. I was ordering from Amazon to avoid the hassle of going to the auto parts store…big mistake.I tossed this mini-sunshade into the garbage and went to the local auto parts store where I got a full sized, unfolded, sturdy sunshade that fits just fine.I’m disappointed that the ad text on Amazon was deceptive. Yes, it was my fault for not scouring the fine print to look for the “gotchya,” but I’m like most people not wanting to waste time when the ad says “Trucks” and “Universal Fit.” It’s sad that customers must always be mistrusting and looking for the “sales trick” when contemplating a purchase.Chalk one up for the marketeers!

Worth every penny — goes up and down easily, and works like a dream.
There are LOT of sunshades for sale on Amazon. I know, because I picked through them for hours before choosing this one because I liked the suction cups on it that help keep the shade in place. I’ve had it for about a month now, and that thing is a workhorse this summer! Every time I go somewhere, I can quickly put it up in the window and run into my appointment, etc. When I return, the car is COOLER than it has ever been in summer, and even my soda pop is still a little cold. The rings on the suction cups make it VERY easy to pull it down, and then it folds up like a dream with very minimal effort.The elastic bands on either end keep it securely folded until I’m ready to use it again. I would have liked to to have a cute pattern on the outside of the shade so I can more easily identify my car in a huge parking lot, but for how well it works, that’s easy to overlook. Worth every penny!
