Value kit, a solid (temporary) fix!
Noticed what I thought was a nail in my tire when I parked, and was able to overnight this kit to plug it. These are the classic “bacon strip” tire plugs that are a squishy sticky red rubber material, and they don’t require vulcanizing fluid. The value of this kit is that the tools are all metal and have excellent T-handles, which you will appreciate if like me, your puncture actually turned out to be a flat piece of metal. The T-handle tools made it possible to get the reamer into the very flat hole (had to lightly hammer it into the flat puncture hole using a loose padlock). Also made it easy to slam the plug in and yoink the tool back out. I’m glad I got these with the full metal tools given how much force was needed given that my tire was still seated and holding 22psi at the start of the repair (and was still holding 17 psi at the end of the repair). Even if you’ve never used one of these before, these quality metal tools will make it easy to get the leverage/apply the force needed.I used this to plug a motorcycle tire and had the benefit of doing this the first time at home. You’ll need to add a pair of needle nose pliers to the kit to use this on the side of the road, and will probably also want a compressor to add pressure back after repair.Tip: fill a container with water and then add some dish soap (without foaming it up) and pour on the repair after it sets to verify it’s not leaking (if you see white foam or bubbles, it’s still leaking).

Don’t buy the new style mushroom plugs, go old school like this
Don’t use the new style mushroom plugs, those are awful and leak. This is an old tried and true excellent value plug kit. For those of you doubters, a plug will often times seal a hole that a patch cannot. And even more often a good plug will be used in conjunction with a patch to really seal a tire well. I had a drywall fastener cause a leak the other day, and after I plugged it, the tire went flat again. I discovered I had a nail close to the sidewalk of my tire , where the head had been since ground off due to me driving my car with it unknowingly. Plugged that also. Great kit. Comes with everything you need to plug 10 holes. Highly recommend.

Have used once and work perfectly. Tire hasn’t lost air in 2 weeks.

Oops. Don’t take it on a plane.
Worked fine. But don’t try to take it on a plane. We bought it for our college student and put it in our bag. They took it at sercury.

    Worth This Price Range
I have used this kit before that came with Plugs Fix punctures, It’s really worth in this price range, I had used it in past, and impress with it’s quality, Great stickness with the tire, Just to makesure cut the plug from tire once its done.

A must have! Fast, easy, pays for itself first use
I bought the Autown repair kit after having two punctures last year. Each repair required waiting around 30 minutes or more at the garage, and cost 35 bucks.Last month, I found a screw in my tire after getting a load at the local dirt and mulch place. I couldn’t believe it, it took like two minutes to plug the hole! The tools are solid, and instructions easy to follow. It already more than paid for itself. No need to remove the tire or jack up your vehicle.Of course, you’ll need a portable air pump, which I already had. A bicycle pump works in a pinch, but it takes a lot of effort. The kit does not come with pliers as claimed, so you will need a small pliers; I also recommend a small flat head screwdriver or some other small pry tool, to lift the nail head so you can get pliers around it. Stuff you probably have in the junk drawer. One of those folding multitools should be fine.Even with the pump and extra tools, I about broke even for the cost of one repair… and there are 11 more plugs in the kit. I’ve been driving on the fixed tire for a month, and there has been zero pressure loss. The box stays shut securely, and fits in the glove compartment or center console.

Worked exactly as planned… great price and easy to use for an at-home tire repair that would have cost 4x to 5x the price at a garage!
