Stops the spray
Installed on a 2013 XV Crosstrek. Before I got these, I constantly had wheel spray marks down the side and back of my car. These are not that large but they’re enough to catch the spray. The quality is better than I expected for the price. They’re slightly flexible out of the box but are fairly rigid on the car. The texture and color is very close to the factory plastic fender flares and when installed, any slight differences aren’t really noticeable. They fit the factory mounting holes perfectly however my hardware kit only came with four new plastic push pin fasteners and then a bunch of screws and nut plates I didn’t need or want to use. I used two of the new pins on the front guards for the holes on the underside of the car, the pins are too long for the shallow holes on the bottom so I checked the hole depths with a nail and snipped the pins with wire cutter to the correct length and they locked in. Also on the front I reused the original fender well fasteners but had to trim them flat on one side to fit back in. on the back I used two of the new pins in the fender wells and reused the original ones on the underside. So they can be installed without anything extra provided you don’t break the old ones taking them out. They do have a small gap along the body contour but again, I don’t even notice it and it doesn’t rub on the car. Very satisfied with this purchase.

The fit was good (not great) the issue l had was not being able to reuse the OEM fasteners ( they broke coming out) l purchased an assortment ( from Amazon) and was able to make it work. Slightly fussy but doable. As with anything, if l did it again ,ld at least be faster.
