Also can be used in Metal, Guitar, Car Interiors, Granite, Piano, Wood Iacquar and Motorcycle

This 5pcs set combines an aluminum polishing kit and wheel polishing kit in one, eliminating the need to buy separate tools for different tasks. It’s perfect for restoring dull aluminum wheels, shining up chrome rims, and polishing metal/plastic parts—exactly what you need for comprehensive car care that saves time and money.
Designed to fit most standard drills, car polishers, and polisher kits, this wheel polishing kit turns your everyday tools into professional-grade polishers. No need for expensive specialized equipment—simply attach the foam balls to your drill (works with most drill buffing attachments) and start polishing in seconds, saving time and effort.
Crafted from dense, durable foam, these polishing wheels resist tearing and wear, even with repeated use on tough surfaces like aluminum rims or chrome. The soft yet firm texture ensures even polish application, avoiding uneven spots and ensuring consistent results every time—great for both DIY enthusiasts and professional detailers.
More than just a car care tool: use it to polish metal fixtures, restore plastic trims, shine ceramic vases, or clean glass surfaces. It’s a versatile solution for household polishing tasks too – making this kit a great value for anyone who wants to keep their belongings looking like new.
Unlike disposable polishing pads, these foam balls are easy to clean with water and mild soap – simply rinse and reuse for multiple projects. With 5 pieces in one kit, you’ll always have a spare for different tasks (e.g., one for aluminum, one for chrome) – a cost-effective choice that outlasts single-use alternatives.

Used to polish microscope objective and headlamp lenses
I have two vintage, very high-end AO Spencer microbiology microscopes and one of them I’ve owned since I was 10 or so years old. The 100x objective it came with was never useful, even when I managed to get my hands on some immersion oil. I always thought the objective was crap quality so I never used it.As an adult I asked my dad if he still had my microscope – sure enough it was in his attic so I dug it out and started restoring the microscope. During that process I scored one off of eBay to use for parts, but ended up fixing both and in the process of restoring the parts microscope, I tried its 100x objective (same model # objective) with some immersion and was surprised to see a beautiful, sharp image. I then looked at the original 100x objective under magnification and saw it had been scratched to heck and back.Since the objective was useless anyway I figured it didn’t matter if the polishing weren’t precise so I tried some .5 micron diamond paste with a felt die grinder bit and the objective produced a pretty good image – the objective was classifed as a “student objective” so I figured that was as good as it gets. In the meantime I learned an old friend collects these microscopes (it’d never come up in conversation before) and he remarked that the 1079 lens should produce nearly as good of an image as the 1024 so I sourced some cerium oxide and these foam drill bits.I used the foam bit with the cerium oxide on the 1079 objective, and ended up with an image that was as clear as the 1024, albeit with slightly less contrast (expected given the design differences). I then polished the scratched eyepieces and kohler lighting optics and it made a _tremendous_ difference in image quality – and keep in mind that I did this BY HAND, not even using any sort of jig or vise to ensure that the lens faces were perfectly flat and perpendicular to the light path.Since my dad passed away last year and he sacrificed a lot to get me my first real microscope, I’m thankful for these foam bits as it has helped me to restore this microscope, which has tremendous sentimental value to me. To say I am pleased is an understatement.I’ve since used some of the other foam bits for polishing metal (knives, tools) and plastic (yellowed and fogged headlamp and taillight lenses) and they have worked very well, and seem to be durable enough to handle some tough jobs.

Good pads but they don’t last long.
These pads work well but they tear up easily and don’t last long at all because the foam is too soft.

    Nifty foam poishers
I purchased these in order to get into tight spaces of wheels on my SUV to remove stubborn brake dust from their painted surfaces. With the proper compound and polish these worked out fine. They are easily cleaned for re-use and are not expensive, and work when wheel acid based cleaners fail. Give them a try, they work well with battery operated portable drills.

  9. Amazon Customer

I got this kit when I decided to polish the outer rims of a set of bbs two piece wheels. After I got all of the sanding done (a huge job but worthwhile) I used these foam polish attachments in my drill, with some metal polish compound, to polish those wheel lips. They came out looking great! Recommended.

But these for buffing my headlights on my car, haven’t gotten around to testing them out yet so I don’t have an opinion

  11. Gold

Compounded and polished my wheels on my vehicle. Cone shape does help a lot getting into the spokes and hard to reach areas. They aren’t the best quality but overall they do get the job done. For the price it was worth it IMO because I didn’t want to hand polish them or pay for more expensive drill sponges for wheels. They do hold up to multiple washings by hand but the foam does degrade over time. One thing to keep in mind is make sure your drill chuck is tight. It does tend to come out after starting and stopping. I would recommend if your looking for something cheap that works. Photo of the sponge is after using it on 4 wheels.
