Louder than OEM horns
These horns are great, and plenty loud. I almost didn’t buy them because of several negative reviews. So no, they’re not as loud as a train horn. To achieve that you’d need to buy an air horn complete with compressor and air tank. They are made of ABS plastic, just like the OEM horns. They do not come with a wiring harness, but making your own, if you have a wire crimping tool, could not be much easier.

The listing says 300 decibels but the horns casings are stamped 410 hertz which is equal to about 115 decibels, the stock horns on your vehicle are usually around 105-110 decibels. They sound nothing like air horns just regular vehicle horns.

Not as loud as their title says. It’s loud but not train horn loud. Used on our SXS and it works good. We just wanted something louder than the stock one and it does the trick. Feels durable and it was easy to install.

NOT a “train horn”. NOT “super loud”.
Does NOT sound like a train horn and is definitely NO louder than original GMC horn.Installation was a major issue because of GMC design and had nothing to do with the horn itself.Once I got the Ranch Hand, front bumper and grill off, changing the horn was easy.I just hope that they last.

Not Bad, But Let’s Be Real—These Are Not 300DB
I bought these horns because the listing made a pretty bold claim—**300 decibels**. That’s not just loud, it’s *physically impossible* loud. Just for reference, a real train horn maxes out around 150db, and 300db would literally rupture your eardrums and probably shatter your windows. So no, these are not 300db. Not even close.That said, I didn’t expect *literal* train-level sound for the price, but I was hoping for something a little more intense than a stock car horn. Unfortunately, while these are definitely *a bit louder* than factory horns, it’s not by much. I’d say they sound somewhere in the ballpark of a decent scooter or maybe an older motorcycle—not exactly earth-shattering.Installation was straightforward enough. The wiring isn’t too complicated if you have a basic idea of 12V setups, but there were no real instructions included, which could throw off beginners. I ended up watching a couple of YouTube videos to make sure I had everything hooked up right. Mounting was okay—although the bracket feels a bit flimsy and I had to reinforce it with some washers and zip ties.As for the actual tone of the horn: it’s more of a sharp *meh-MEEHHH* sound than a commanding *BWWWAAAAA*. It kind of resembles a clown car mixed with a cheap alarm. It’s not terrible, but it doesn’t exactly strike fear into the hearts of inattentive drivers either.
