Ugly little box, shockingly good performance
First off, this thing looks deceptively cheap and uninspiring. It has that “random gadget from the darker corners of the internet” kind of appearance. Bland black color, soft rounded corners, and just an overall design that screams, “I was created by someone whose greatest artistic inspiration was a stapler.”Once you get past that, though, the performance is kind of ridiculous. The speed at which it connects to your phone after plugging it in is insanely good. You press the button once and boom, it’s connected. No dramatic pause, no electronic soul-searching, no time to question your purchase choices. It just gets to work. That’s honestly the best part. No waiting, no lag, no nonsense. Every time I start my vehicle, by the time the safety notice disappears from my head unit, this thing is already up and running in the background and ready to go. Wireless Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, no fuss. It’s basically the exact opposite of those gadgets that make you sit there staring at a loading screen like you’re waiting for Windows XP to wake up.Functionality has been solid across the board. It does what it claims, does it quickly, and doesn’t make the process more annoying than it needs to be. That alone gives it a lot of value in my book, because car tech should make life easier, not introduce a new daily argument into your commute.Value for the money is also strong. Compared to some of the bigger name brands, this is a really good deal. If it dropped to around $30 during sales, it would be even better and would probably move from “easy recommendation” to “why are you still thinking about it?” territory.Overall, this thing may look like a sad little black pebble with low self-esteem, but it works incredibly well. Sometimes ugly gadgets end up being the hardest workers in the room.

Great for CarPlay, not so great for Android Auto
I got this little adapter for a 2019 Nissan Rogue Sport that doesn’t have wireless CarPlay/Android Auto.I had no problem pairing to the device on either CarPlay or AA. That’s about where the similarities end.CarPlay with an iPhone 14(ish?) has not had one issue, works seamlessly and no random disconnects or issues for the last week or two of having this.Android Auto on my Galaxy S24 Ultra has been a nightmare. Connected fine, seemed fine for all of 2 minutes then had issues with Spotify playing at weird speeds, GPS not matching up/glitching out, and audio cutting in and out. (Fortunately the iPhone will be the one in use 95% of the time.)I’m not 100% sure if the issues are due to the device, my phone, or the car so I’m not leaving less than 3 stars. YMMV but for me, Android Auto did NOT work well but CarPlay was not an issue.I may update this review in the future after fiddling around with it a bit more.

Works great
Bottom line- would recommendI have ordered two other wireless android auto adapters in the past, but both have had issues – one is a compact adapter like this, but overheats and disconnects constantly and the other is a larger unit that plugs in via USB cable- works good but gets in the way due to size. Saw this and thought I’d give it a try, hoping the metal enclosure would help with the overheating issue of my other adapter.Product appears and feels like good quality. It comes with a usb-c adapter should your car require one. Although my car doesn’t need it, I have used this adapter to charge some of my devices and it works without issues.Setup cannot be simpler…literally plug into cars usb port used for wired android auto, connect your phone via Bluetooth (with wifi enabled) and thats it. Auto-rconnects without issue every time I start the car.So far this has worked flawlessly and have had zero drops…though at this point I haven’t done long trips using it (all were under 15 mins). At this point I am definitely satisfied. Will update review if any issues arise or it starts ‘acting up’, especially on long trips.

Works nicely and keeps my phone untethered! Not meant to be stored in high temperatures?? 3.5 stars
This [2026 Upgrade] Wireless CarPlay Adapter & Android Auto Wireless Adapter works much better than I thought. I only skimmed through the instructions, and it is easy to connect and go, without much hassle. I have an older vehicle that has a cord that comes from the bottom with a USB port and an extension to plug in another cord that plugs into my phone. This is much easier to use, as I just plugged it into the shorter cable, it takes up much less space, and looks much nicer than having long cords everywhere. The sound quality is great, and it connects almost flawlessly. I have an Android device, and solely use it for Android Auto to play music from my Amazon music playlists. I’ve had several instances where it disconnects, but it usually reconnects within a few minutes without any issues. My old one cut out every now and then as well, but not as often. I haven’t had to unplug it and plug it back in, or go into my phone settings to reconnect it, but I do wish it stayed connected better. One thing I noticed in the user manual is that it says not to store it in high temperatures. In the sunshine, cars get very hot, so I’m not sure why won’t they would make a device for a car, knowing this fact. This makes me question how long it may last. It should be designed in a way that is actually suitable for its placement and purpose. The adapter comes nicely packaged, includes an extra adapter, in case you need it to connect it to your car, and for me, it works quite well. It frees up my phone, which is a big plus, so that I can charge it if necessary using the cigarette lighter port. If your car does not have Bluetooth Android Auto or CarPlay, and you are not worried over the iffy high temperature warning in the instructions, I think this is an economical choice to connect using Bluetooth. Recommended!
