When my kid transitioned from a car seat to a booster we were worried she’d break her neck. I’d look back and find her asleep in some contoured position only a child could get into. She would also fall asleep against the window, and if we were ever in a side impact collision I knew this would not be good. Enter these retractable headrests for the car.Pros1) I got them the same color as our upholstery. They look like they are part of the car!2) Easy to remove and install means we can easily transfer them between cars and even to rentals3) Retractable when not in use means it doesn’t get lost like our old neck pillow, and it’s not rolling around on the minivan floor picking up dirt, lint, dog poo, and Cheerios.4) Kiddo says it’s more comfortable than a neck pillow which means I don’t need to fight her to use it!Cons1) honestly, none. Now I want one.2) ok, I lied, maybe one con but it’s not the product’s fault. May not fit all vehicles. Make sure your headrest has bars for this to attach to and has enough space to grab on. We had a rental that did not have telescoping headrests and I couldn’t get these onto the bars. I blame the car. :)I’m honestly thinking of getting one for all seats.

Great product
One of the best item I have purchased for my son. It keeps his head propped up when sleeping in the car. My only issue is that the padding to cover the middle bar piece does not stay on. It is not sticky enough. It wasn’t a problem when his head was below the bar but now that he is growing I will have to figure out another solution. I love that fact that it matches my car decor and that it can be simply lifted up when an adult needs to sit in that space.

Great for traveling needs a little tweaking!
Drove 2k miles and it works as said only issue is the back piece that attaches to the headrest. We got some pool noodle and had to attach it on the back. Other than that it’s great for the kiddos in between the getting to old for car seat booster era!! Worked great for us!

Great addition and added comfort for the kids. The QR scan code for instructions doesn’t work, but it’s a simple assembly. Didn’t know where the additional pad should go unless it is supposed to be cut and fitted on without blocking the adjusting lever.I was concerned about the thickness of the rod, and I was correct. It’s too thick, but the easy solution was to attach from the rear. My son no longer felt the rod on his head, so score. Unfortunately, it doesn’t come with the option of colored threading, as it would have blended in even better with my interior. So far, it’s sturdy and stays in place with their huge heads resting on it. For the price, I’m impressed by the feel and appearance of the pads.Added the vehicle because it will help my fellow Acura owners.

Not if your kid is a wiggler
Friends recommended it. And it seemed fine the first day. But my kid broke it the first week when he was playing with it too much.Ordered a second, as we desperately need something for long road trips so child in backless booster can rest his head for napping. But I think only for very cautious children. Or as in my case, I will keep reminding him to be gentle.

What I love most about this product is how nice the quality is. I drive a 2024 Kia Telluride so I wanted to ensure that it would look proper. My Son is five years old and it works perfectly for him. He is able to pull the head rest down himself and use it whenever he wishes and it looks good when it’s not being used as well. It fits perfectly and would fit in any car with a headrest that raises up and down. You are able to adjust it and use it how you need as well. I definitely recommend this for road trips for all ages!

Fell Apart Immediately
Second Review: Because this headrest was so good (details noted below in the first review I provided), I purched another one for my vehicle (first one placed in my husband vehicle). However, the second one fell apart every time my grandson has tried to use it. I’m very disappointed!! I guess it’s a 50/50 shot at this point, and for this reason I would not recommend this particular headrest. I recommend searching for a better quality one.First Review:Quick arrival, easy installation, and a very well built and secure/sturdy product!! I would give it a six star if possible, lol.I wasn’t sure if my young grandson would find it helpful, as he recently moved out of a carseat and into a booster seat; hence, when traveling he often naps and now his head would fall wayside and aches (with no head supports for sleeping). Well, he absolutely loves this headrest!! He can independently and with easily pull the headrests down into position and rest with ease, and easily move back when not needed. Additionally, he says it’s very comfortable, and his head does not fall forward, which I had concerns of when considering buying.I have not one negative report or concern, we absolutely love this headrest!! I highly recommend this product!!

Excellent product, my kids love them!!
Like any parent, after a morning full of soccer games or a long ride to grandma’s house, I’d look back in the rear view mirror and find my kids knocked out with their necks/heads in the most uncomfortable of positions. We decided to look for headrests that would be easily accessible to them, yet wouldn’t be a nuisance to adult passenger riding in the back of my truck. These headrests filled that void incredibly well. Not only can you position them so they’re out of the way when you have adult passengers in the back. As soon as my little ones start closing their eyes, they pull them down as if they were getting strapped in for a roller coaster ride and lights out it is. No more soar necks, or trouble with head nodding, they sleep comfortably with no issue. They’re definitely a must for any school age children who are in booster seats or old enough to be out of them. Great product.

This are great for napping in the car! I used to find it quite uncomfortable as there was nothing to support my neck but this been great for that. You can easily adjust them for different heights and can push them out of the way if you don’t want them. They are also easy to install. Only thing is, it is a tiny bit wide but it’s not terrible.
