Perfect for a 2005 Forester
About as good as you can get for a budget head unit. It’s a little higher than a double din, so I had to cut my center bezel to fit (2005 Subaru Forester).Despite the lack of directions, a wire diagram, and FAQs that were definitely written by someone who doesn’t know what spell check is, it was easy to install. Especially if you’ve toyed around with these units. It follows the same diagram as my old one, so figured I’d attach a pic of it to help. It also comes packed with themes so if you don’t like the UI of one, you don’t have to dink around with downloading APKs.It’s connects fast; the CarPlay functionality is seamless and pairs immediately when the car is on. I did notice better sound, but I also installed some Kenwood 1666S speakers at the same time so I can’t say if it did anything for the OE speakers. This thing feels ALOT nicer quality than the budget ones that lack a solid touchscreen. Honestly it’s worth the $50.

0 stars if I could.AVOID AT ALL COSTS.Bluetooth connectivity never worked. Functioned kind of with extreme lag. Did not fit well so I had to modify the dash to fit it and it still didn’t fit well.The screen looked absolutely horrible when it was working.It died after a month installed. Not a trustworthy brand or manufacturer.Pros:None.Cons:Dies in a monthNever worked.Touchscreen always lagged.Backup camera is junk.Microphone quality is horrible.It sounded worse than the OEM kit.

Can’t say I have any negatives to share other than this being my 2nd one in 6 months. Have them in my car and pickup.. butttt… the one I just purchased last week was used… bought as new and appearance was new but during installation I realized there was already someone else’s information loaded into the software taking up some of the memory. Not a big deal but weird seeing “Chad’s iPhone ” pop up several times. Or maybe I have Chad’s phone that cannot run out of battery somewhere in my truck or following closely behind every day and he’s been able to x take control of things before the 1st time I left my yard lol

So good.had a 400 quid panasonic before this. Wasn’t expecting much but it’s great.If you have an Audio issue where is skips a bit. Press the square at the top left and the app with android auto on it (something beginning with h) just slide that tab to side and it closes and restarts and solves it. Happens every 20 or 30 times I use the system so not bad.Works well on wireless and wired but better wired if your playing Audio from phone as USB isn’t great power and will drain phone so use a USB c cig lighter to charge it while using this wirelessly.Fitting can be a pain. Get some epoxy to fit the surround to the unit and also find a illuminated switch behind dash so you can wire the pink wire to it so it goes dark colours when lights are on as even in its dimmest it’s very bright to use at night.

Still can’t figure out the back up camera but easy to install and works great. So far so good. Time will tell if it lasts but very pleased with the stereo and a nice upgrade
