5 reviews for Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto Adapter Dongle, WiFi 6 Bluetooth 5.4 for Low Latency, Dual-Phone Memory with One-Tap Switching Button, Ultra-Compact Metal Design for Factory Wired Carplay Cars

  1. Htown FlyGuy

    Good wireless CarPlay adapter
My vehicle came with Apple CarPlay but it wasn’t totally wireless. Bluetooth connection for wireless phone calls worked but my phone still had to be connected to use CarPlay for audio and all the other apps on my phone. This adapter changed that and allowed me to get rid of having to plug in the cord each time so now my CarPlay is entirely wireless! I am able to make calls, listen to audio, and even use several of the other apps on my phone wirelessly through the use of this adapter connection. The adapter came with two difference extension connectors – one USB-A and one USB-C – so if your USB jack is in a location that doesn’t allow this adapter to be easily accessed or plugged in, the connectors will assist with that issue. This adapter itself is actually smaller than I was expecting too at only about one inch squared, so it is hardly noticeable when plugged in. It was up and running almost immediately with very little set up and the instructions were easy to follow. It has automatically connected to my phone each time I enter my car, so it is easy to use once set up the first time and doesn’t have to continuously be reconnected. The connection has been reliable each time while in use too and I have had no issues with it dropping or disconnecting, so the functionality of the adapter has been good so far. This is really just a convenience item as CarPlay could still be used through the use of the cord, but I don’t like a bunch of unnecessary cords and stuff in my car so this adapter has been perfect for eliminating that and making everything wireless. I recommend it for anyone that has CarPlay but still has to use the cord and is looking to make it a wireless connection.

Simple Upgrade for Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto
This wireless CarPlay and Android Auto adapter is a convenient way to upgrade a factory wired system without changing the head unit. Setup is quick and straightforward. You just plug the dongle into the vehicle’s USB port that normally connects your phone for CarPlay or Android Auto, pair your phone once, and it connects automatically after that. The connection is fast and stable thanks to the WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 support. Navigation, music streaming, and calls run smoothly with very little delay, which makes everyday driving much more convenient. It feels almost the same as using a wired connection but without needing to plug your phone in every time you get in the car.One of the best features is the dual phone memory. The adapter can remember two phones and switch between them using the one tap button. That makes it really useful for couples or families who share the same vehicle. The metal design also gives it a solid and durable feel. It is very compact and does not take up much space, so it stays neatly tucked away near the USB port.Overall, this adapter is a great solution for anyone who wants the convenience of wireless CarPlay or Android Auto while keeping their original factory system. It works smoothly, connects quickly, and makes driving a lot more convenient.

    Compatibility issues
Lifechovy says this wireless car adapter is ‘widely compatible’ except with Tesla or BMW models. However, I think they should have expanded that to include other vehicles also. While it does have good design features, if it doesn’t work for all vehicles except those listed above, perhaps they should redesign it, or rewrite their listing to include other vehicles is isn’t compatible with. So a buyer’s option is to order it and try it and if it works that’s great, if not you have free 30-day returns. And as of today, it is quite a bargain at $19.99, which is 60% off of the list pricing!

  4. Cuite Pie

A simple upgrade that makes driving much more convenient
I Had been using this wireless CarPlay and it has been completely improved my driving experience. Setup was incredibly easy by just plug it into my 2020 Toyota Rav4’s USB port, pair it once, and it automatically reconnects every time I start the car. These adapters are designed to convert factory wired CarPlay systems into a wireless connection using WiFi and Bluetooth, which means no more plugging and unplugging my phone constantly. One of the standout features is the WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity. The connection feels fast and stable with very little delay when opening maps, playing music, or answering calls. Navigation apps load quickly and audio steaming stays smooth without interruptions. I also love the dual-phone memory feature since I have two phones, which lets me switch between them with just one tap. It’s a small feature, but makes daily use much easier. The metal design is another plus. The adaptor is so small that it stays hidden in the console area and keeps the dashboard looking clean and clutter free. It is a convenient, reliable, and makes every drive feel a little more modern.

Didn’t work and had no clear troubleshooting
This didn’t work for me. I’ve used wireless adapters before with zero issues, so I’m not new to this. I read the manual front to back and followed everything exactly. It eventually flashed green, but green wasn’t even listed as one of the indicator colors in the manual, so that was confusing right off the bat. I tried to update it, but it wouldn’t connect to the built-in Wi-Fi because it requires a password that was never included anywhere in the instructions. At that point it was basically unusable. My old wireless adapter is bulkier, but it works every time, so I’ll be going back to that. Great concept, but the setup and lack of clear instructions made this a no for me. If I have to decode secret colors and guess surprise passwords, I have to move on. This is definitely not plug and play ready.
