The only thing better than Carplay is Wireless Carplay!
Amazing little device that helped turn my wired carplay into wireless carplay. When I bought my car I honestly didn’t know it didn’t support wireless Carplay, and was pretty disappointed. Then I found this item, which is smaller than a credit card and thinner than an iPhone 17 Pro Max, it solved all my problems.The maps and music streaming quality is strong, responsive, and of good quality. There is virtually no difference between when I use wired carplay versus wireless carplay that I could determine.When I start my car it auto-connects within moments (Under 30 seconds or so) which is more than acceptable considering I use this time to get myself situation in the seat, fasten my safety belt, and make sure the kiddo or the wife is comfy before I start our drive.It’s got about a 99% uptime based on my two months of usage. I drive the car every day, and obviously the car will be started multiple times during those days as I run errands. During that time I think there had only been twice when I had trouble with the initial connection and that was isolated to the first days of usage. There had been two or three times where the Carplay disconnected from my phone but it had always reconnected within a minute or so. So of the hundreds of starts and stops and drives I’ve taken, it has worked very very well.When you consider the heavy-lifting this product does; streaming music and maps and who knows what other kinds of data over its bluetooth connection I appreciate its reliability, and for the price more than happy to overlook that it isn’t perfect.The build quality is great, I am surprised that the shell appears to be made out of metal and that the wire is a braided wire which should mean this device can last a little longer than expected as the wire won’t break and fray as easily and the plastic won’t crack under the temperature changes that are expected for an item left inside the car.I can’t tell you about it’s heat level as I don’t touch the thing when I drive, it is light weight but it doesn’t really matter because you won’t be holding it as it stays connected to the car at all times.Overall, very happy with this device. TL:DR Definitely buy this if you want to turn your wired carplay into wireless carplay. The maps and music streaming quality is strong, responsive, and of good quality.

Best wireless carplay adapter I have tried. Works with 2018 MDX
First of all, it works great with a 2018 MDX.I have tried a few of these with different levels of success. This the best one so far. Not sure there is anything they could do to make it any better. (will update the review if my opinion changes)This has a short cable instead of a dongle sticking out of the USB port where they can get bent or broken. (last one broke because it lacked a short cable) I think I may use some velcro and stick it to the inside of my center console. I keep it pretty full of stuff and it is easy to abuse the adapter if it is floating around or dangling by the cable.This one connects very quickly. The setup was incredibly easy. It worked first time and has worked every car ride since. It seems to let go of my phone better than the last one I used. The previous one must have had a battery because it connected to my phone when the car had not been running for hours every time I got within 12 feet of the car. (all audio just went away) So far, this unit has not done this. It seems to connect when you want to and disconnect when you don’t want it connected.I don’t know if there is a slight latency or not. (haven’t spent enough time with it yet) I do know that the others had some latency and it didn’t much matter, it is was worth it. (only way to notice this is with video when parked) It was priced in the middle of the range. Came with a USB C adapter that I didn’t need. (USB A on my vehicle) I will save the adapter for something else though.

Solid Wireless CarPlay Adapter!
We got this recently to see if we could get something a bit more convenient than the wired CarPlay our vehicle has. And so far this has proved to be quite the nifty device! The setup was easy and straightforward (I plugged it in and within 20 seconds or so it showed up in the nearby Bluetooth device settings on our iPhone to pair). Once paired, our car has a little pocket nearby that we can tuck this little thing into and basically “forget” about it. The small size of this thing makes it perfect to tuck away or even mount it somewhere if you wanted. And from our experience, the phone didn’t even need to be sitting right next to it to work — my mother is able to keep it in her purse and it still conveniently works! No issues with sound quality either; it sounds just the same as if it were hard wired :DWe’ve tested it for the past week and it’s been very solid, fully connecting within a few seconds. This is especially useful for my mother who uses CarPlay a lot for maps navigation while also listening to music via YouTube Music.All in all, I’d definitely recommend this to anyone with a slightly older car that doesn’t support the newer wireless CarPlay feature. It’s small and compact size makes it easy to handle and really does make things a whole bunch easier. And for the price, in our opinion, you really can’t go wrong!
