Works well but connection can be finicky sometimes
I got this adapter about 6 weeks ago for my 2019 Honda Accord and it’s been pretty convenient overall. Setup was straightforward – just plugged it into the USB port and paired my iPhone through bluetooth and wifi like the instructions said. The first connection took maybe 2-3 minutes but after that it usually connects automatically when I start the car, which is nice. Love not having to fumble with cables every time I get in, especially when I’m carrying groceries or rushing to work. The adapter itself is really small and doesn’t stick out much from the USB port so it looks clean. Sound quality is good, can’t really tell a difference from when I was using the wired connection before. Navigation through Apple Maps works smoothly and phone calls come through clearly. However, I’ve had some issues with it losing connection randomly while driving – happened maybe 4-5 times so far where it just disconnects and I have to manually reconnect through settings. Also takes longer to connect on really cold mornings, sometimes up to 5 minutes which can be annoying when I’m trying to get directions started quickly. The metal casing feels sturdy though and hasn’t gotten too hot even during summer drives. For the price it’s doing what I wanted it to do and saves me the hassle of plugging in my phone every trip.
