Works well, but tight fit in a Subaru Crosstrek
I used this adapter in my 2023 Subaru Crosstrek to have an alternate method to connect my phone via Bluetooth to the car’s CarPlay system. In this car the two USB ports are very close together. Despite this product’s small size, it just barely fit without blocking the other port. I can only use it in the top USB port due to the design and offset cylindrical shape. The sound quality and latency compares to other Bluetooth connections. Connection to Bluetooth was very simple and quick. I do find that this adapter sometimes needs to be reconnected to the car’s Bluetooth and that is somewhat inconvenient, but in general this product is working well for my car.

Connects to an iPhone 14 quickly on a 2021 Honda Accord, and completely fixes the issue of CarPlay disconnecting with wired USB.If you also plug in the phone to charge into a port that is CarPlay capable while using this adapter, then the car may be a bit confused about how it is connected to your phone.It connects to you phone using Bluetooth initially (likely to “discover” you phone is near), but you need to have your phone’s WiFi turned on as well for it to remain connected (probably using a sort of WiFi ad-hoc/direct connection?). No worries, just keep Bluetooth and WiFi turned on on your phone before turning on the car.
