Great quality, good value and easy setup
I purchased this pressure washer after going through several electric washers for use around the house that seemed to fail after about 2 seasons of pretty infrequent use. Fired it up today, works great, lots of pressure and it draws cleaning detergent from the soap tank very easily (a problem with other washers I have owned, with very small diameter transfer lines). The engine and pump are easily accessible for maintenance and operation in the coming years, and the manuals supplied with the washer are very clear in describing how to maintain oil, gas, spark plugs and even valve clearance (…. and no more extension cords to trip over!)

Perfect Pressure Washer for Any Scenario – Great Value
I bought this pressure washer after considering a plethora of different makes and models, including the option of electric vs. gas powered.I am glad I chose gas, and I’m glad I chose this Westinghouse WPX3400. I chose gas because it is much more powerful than electric, and I chose Westinghouse because they have a decent reputation, and the WPX3400 because that was the best “Max Pressure to Cost” ratio.I have used at least a half-dozen different pressure washers, mostly gas-powered, but never owned my own. Now that I have a property that I need to maintain myself, I believe it was WELL WORTH the price of this machine to be able to take on the significant number of tasks and projects that would require a Pressure Washer. The assembly was simple. Just a couple nuts and bolts to screw in (clearly labeled in the manual with pictures), and the top handle just slides on – no tools or bolts required. Great design.Starting Up: I thought that this Pressure Washer was a little flaky on the VERY FIRST USE. It took several pulls to start, and it stalled out on me. However, EVERY USE after the first, it has started up on the FIRST PULL! Seriously. If you buy this, expect your first startup to be a little rocky, but just let it do its thing – it’ll either stall or you’ll power it down…After the first use, expect every single use to start on the first pull, every time. That’s how good I feel about this machine, after a small sample size of uses (~20 times).CAVEAT: If you are going to own and care for a Pressure Washer, you need to understand how to do things the right way. What I wrote above, about this machine starting up smooth every single time (from the second use on), will only be true if you care for the machine correctly.First, get yourself some 4-stroke engine oil as well as some “pump protector”. Both of these items should be in the single-digit dollar amount. You will want these on hand because at some point you will need to:1. Add more oil (or change the oil), and2. Clean it thoroughly and protect the engine if storing it for any length of time.Second, read the manual in entirety, it’s not long. If you’re one of those people who throws away the manual without glancing at it and says “I got this”, nobody thinks you’re cool, and you might miss a potential quirk unique to a machine that will ruin your investment if you don’t know about it.I won’t summarize the manual here but I will touch upon two key things you need to be sure of before buying/using a gas powered machine like this WPX3400.- Be liberal with the “sample oil” included inside the box. I’d say use about 3/4 of the entire bottle, if not more. Use the dipstick to check the fill reading, and keep adding a few pours until it’s at the right fill.- Connect your garden hose to the outdoor spigot and run the water for a few minutes before connecting it to the WPX3400. You want the hose full of water and not have any air pockets spurting out. Once the flowing end of the hose is pouring solidly, turn the spigot back off.- With the spigot turned off, connect the other end of the hose to the WPX3400. Go back and turn the spigot back on. With water now flowing directly to the machine, follow the startup procedure written in the manual, the basics being: Turn Power On; Turn Fuel Valve to On Position; Make sure engine is in “Choke” position; and give the ripcord a solid tug. If it doesn’t start by the fourth or fifth pull, turn the water off and reassess.A few other helpful tips:- Once you get the machine running for the first time, don’t worry about a stall or some slight oil burn. You want that first use to be continuous water spraying for several minutes.- On each successive Power Washing Session – you ALWAYS want to have the water spraying out of the nozzle at all times. If you need to let go of the nozzle trigger for any reason, try to get your finger back on that trigger as soon as you can. Ideally, you want to be continuously spraying water from the nozzle the entire time you are washing. Yes, this might seem like a waste of fresh water, but this is how you care for your investment. Instead of letting go of the trigger, move the nozzle away from your target and spray at the ground or into the air, and keep doing so until you are ready to spray your target area again.- If you know that you’ll need to stop spraying for longer than 20-30 seconds, STOP what you are doing and TURN THE ENGINE OFF.- That might sound a little crazy, but this will preserve the engine life and performance.- Don’t ever leave the engine running without spraying through a pressurized nozzle for more than 30 seconds.- If you need to stop your work for longer than that, turn off the engine; move the fuel switch to off and the engine switch back to “choke”, then turn the water off at the Spigot. Disconnect the hose from the WPX3400, then pull the trigger on the nozzle to release any remaining pressure.- Do not attempt to change the spray nozzle until you have released all pressure.

    Very impressive.
So far it’s been a 5 outta 5. Comes with great instructions. Comes with tools to assemble it. Comes with oil. Was very impressed when assembling. There is a bolt you must remove and reinstall. The assembler at the factory purposely didnt tighten it down so that it would be easier to disassemble. 10 minutes after assembling I was outside using it. It has lots of power. After about an hour my hand actually hurt from fighting it. Cleans everything and never bogs down. Cleaned an old water tank and a very dirty concrete pad. Very impressed. Will update with longevity as time passes.

    Beware of water hose angle!
Purchased in 2023 but it sat in the box in my garage until today, 2 1/2 years later. If you read anything, read the next paragraph about the hot part and the water hose…it’s a big deal but avoidable if you are aware of it.Super easy to put together! And it works great. I only got to use it for about 6 minutes though because I am not used to things on the pressure washing being so incredibly hot that it will melt a hole right through the water hose. Now, to be fair, there is a little outline on that hot part that shows heat and a hand. It’s not a part of the machine I had to do anything with so I didn’t pay attention to it. And you can see in the pics where my water hose was rubbing against it. Crazy hot apparently. Luckily I can buy a new hose and try again. Took off one star for not making the hot part more clear in the instructions – would have been helpful to have a warning to the part where you’re attaching the water hose or better yet, have the water hose angled to the opposite side to avoid this potential. Apparently this is a pretty common problem.Beware of the hot part. Otherwise, it’s a great power washer so far! You’ll need gas but it comes with oil for the first use, along with a handy nozzle cap for filling, which I found very helpful. It will take almost the whole container of oil but not quite so be patient filling.Cord lengths for me are great. Noise level – it’s like a lawn mower probably. I was wearing headphones listening to music so it wasn’t a big deal. Very easy to move around.

Started second pull and very fast compared to my old 1.7 gal electric one. Have to admit it does drink gas, about one full tank in an hour. But works well and did the job in one third the time. Now stored for the winter.

I bought the Westinghouse WPX2700 PSI in December 2022, but it’s been too cold here in Ontario to use it yet. Westinghouse is a great company so I know there will be no issues with the machine come the spring when I will need it. It was very easy to assemble and is great value for money. I’m sure it will be easy to use also but having not used it, I can’t give it 5 stars yet for ease of use.

A friend of mine bought a similar brush for his electric pressure washer and raved about it. This seemed like good value from the offerings available for my gas pressure washer.I was a bit leery because it doesn’t have wheels but the brushes work fine.I am amazed at how much faster and easier it to clean my patio and walkway. Well worth the money.

I like the big wheels easy to move around. used to clean cars house. works well.

Product does a great job on our wooden deck. We use it with a gas pressure washer. Much easier than using a regular nozzle .
