Not allow use app from play store
The product itself is okay. I bought this unit mainly because it can connect to Wi-Fi. My idea was to connect it to my Venture 360 dash cam and use it as a monitor to view the cameras, while also using the backup camera. However, after trying to install the app, I found out that the manufacturer doesn’t allow you to install any apps you want — only the ones they approve.I don’t care about TikTok or other useless apps — I would only want YouTube or YouTube Music.They claim it’s for “security reasons” to prevent damage to the unit, but that makes no sense. How could installing an app damage the unit? It’s like if Samsung or Apple said you can only use certain apps for “security reasons.” Ridiculous — especially since there’s even a “Factory Reset” option in the settings!Also, as others have mentioned, the Bluetooth connection is unstable and keeps disconnecting every few seconds. It’s not my car radio because I have no issues when connecting my Samsung Tab S8+.

Update: product works and is functional
Returned after I could not get the Bluetooth audio to sync to my phone. Screen is decent though as I did not notice much lag after pressing a buttonUpdate: changed from 1 star to 3 star. The product is decent but the instructions are awful. Installation shouldn’t have been as difficult if the instructions were clear.2nd update: Bluetooth connection is unstable and inconsistent. Could be a defective unit so I am trying with a new screen sent by the seller. If the second unit also does not work consistently, I will return and look for another screen

This carplay screen is very decent, but has a couple of details that made me give it one star review. Depending on I don’t know what reason, sometimes the bluetooth connection with the car is very hard to achive, but the worst issue is that almost everytime (not always) this thing is turned off, its volume goes down to zero, so you think the bluetooth connection has failed, but no, you cannot hear anything because its volume went down. One more thing, the screen is a regular glass with no finish for fingerprints, it looks really ugly after a light use, you better keep a microfiber in your car just for this screen

Arm bracket doesn’t work properly
The arm to install the unit doesn’t work. The sticky part need replacement. And once it get ANY dirt or any debris no longer sticks and unit no longer stays put in play it falls and I can’t even use it. So sad! Wish it included a replacement piece for situations like this.

If I could give it zero stars I would. It worked the first time we used it and literally hasn’t turned on since. It says “welcome” when we first turn on car and then nothing! It goes to a black screen! It’s not that my phone won’t connect to it, it’s that the device literally won’t even turn on!!! GARBAGE!!🗑️
