Works great for older vehicles that dont have Bluetooth audio but has USB media port
Replaced a Bluetooth to fm transmitter I had which was ok but sound quality sometime suffered because of fm static passing through towns. Had to change FM stations often on longer trips.Works great my system that has a USB media/iPod port. Simple. Great sound quality. seems to use very little to no car battery when the car is off. No problem starting the car. Great for streaming music from Android phone if your vehicle doesn’t come with Bluetooth for audio. Even displays track info on the stereo and steering wheel controls work.

  2. Nicholas

Replaces the horrible stock Bluetooth in my car!
Works phenomenally with my Infiniti. The built in Bluetooth does not play nicely with my phone whatsoever. This device retains the steering wheel controls and the audio quality is excellent. It’s super fast to pair to my phone every time I start my car, whereas the stock Bluetooth system would take minutes to pair, and sometimes fail to pair entirely.

The best and most reliable for my 2014 Honda Accord EXL
First I tried another brand/model that supports more HD codecs, but it wasn’t reliable; it wouldn’t be recognized sometimes, and would show Chinese characters when the Bluetooth wasn’t connected. It would just make it look out of place. But the important issues were that the connectivity reliability issues, and the sound quality wasn’t refined despite the additional HD codecs (hard to explain, but it was off). This one only supports the ACC codec for HD, but it sounds much better; they probably did better tuning; no non-English characters, and it’s very reliable and smooth in its operation for my car.

  4. D.M.Z

Works incredibly well, despite initial skepticism (5/5)
Incredibly nice BT adapter. Maintains crystal-clear audio apart from bass (it’s a little bit blown out, but tolerable). Connects to my phone automatically (from a minimum of 25yds away it remains connected, and even pairs when I am walking towards the car after remote starting.Skipping is easy; steering wheel controls maintained. Going back to a previous track is somewhat tricky, however, and typically requires some interaction with my mobile phone.Driving a 2012 Honda Crosstour w/ no Bluetooth previously, this is one of the best $40 I’ve spent on car accessories. Despite my initial skepticism, this product proved to be truly what it advertises itself as.

    Just about perfect
This is a solid product, worked in my 2012 2500 GMC with navigation. I have been waiting for a module like this for a while. The sound quality is 7/10 but with your phones EQ you should be able to make it sound pretty good.Song name/artist comes up, and steering wheel FF/RW for changing tracks works. So I’m pleased!Maybe a newer revision with better sound quality down the road? 👀

Worked like how the built in bluetooth should be
I own a 2014 Infiniti Q60 without navigation package, it is a shame that they put in bluetooth but doesn’t support bluetooth music streaming without paying extra for navigation, my music playing in my car is always cumbersome, I always have to plug in cable into my phone, and doing too much of that will wear out my phone’s USB jack eventually.I have been searching for a product like this for about 10 years, while a USB dongle receive bluetooth audio signal and turn that into some digital data stream that the car can recognize as MP3 player or iPod or cellphone music player is technically not hard to achieve at all, this product never appeared on the market, until now. It’s plug and play, connect my phone to the bluetooth, and forget about it. Every time car starts and music app open it continues to play automatically. It shows the title of songs, and can be controlled with the backward and skip control on my steering wheel. Everything is just like how is it going to be if my car has built in bluetooth audio. If your car doesn’t have bluetooth audio, and have a USB port for audio, and you want play music while you driving, this is a no brainer purchase.

    Finally…Bluetooth audio for my 2013 Infiniti G37!
Stumbled across this device and it works perfectly. No nav or Apple car play in my 2013 G37 so it’s been extremely frustrating using the Aux cable. I recently purchased an Apple car play screen which works great, but still had to use an aux cord. With this Gitank device it just solved all my problems. 30 sec setup max and super easy to use. The sound is even better and I can also control sound with my Apple Watch. My question now is, why didn’t I find this sooner!

  8. Jdmsaenz01

It’s nice… when it works. (died after 3 weeks)
For first use: The adapter quickly with my truck’s stereo and worked fine for about 2-3 weeks.Since then it will completely drop connection at random, often while you are driving, requiring it to be unplugged and replugged to get it to connect again.. even then it’s about 50/50 if it’ll stay connected after that or just disconnect again a few minutes later. Track data is very inconsistent. It worked about 1/3 of the time and would often get “stuck” on one song even after you have skipped through multiple. The audio clips/distorts horribly unless you lower it on your phone’s side by 2-3 clicks. Its honestly a shame because for the very short bit it functioned properly it WAS really nice, I could skip and seek with the steering wheel, I had a full track data display (when it wanted to actually work). Over all its a good idea but the execution and quality of the product is quite poor. I’d avoid for the time being.

Finally, I got a Bluetooth music adapter for my Infiniti Q70 2014.It came with Gitank 5.3 (newer version), not 5.0 as mentioned, and it works flawlessly. No issues so far – highly recommended.
