Direct fit, no modification needed to the car.
Direct fit on my 1972 Le Mans. Let me say again, I did not have to modify anything on the car, it was a direct drop in.Happy with the look and performance of the lights. Used everything in the boxes but you don’t have to, see notes below.Notes:1) Paired it with the DRL Daytime Running Lights Universal Control Module Brand: Mobilistics unit found also on Amazon. DRLs turn on 30 seconds after ignition on, turn off with Low Beams, turns on with High Beams, turns off when ignition is turned off.2) They are direct drop in if you want. On my Pontiac my outside lights are Low+High, the insides are High only. I used the extra cables in the box to splice wires needed to make my inside lights work exactly like the outside lights so all 4 are Low+High.

These lights have a very well defined light pattern that makes adjusting the headlights simple. They are very bright and a pleasant white color (some headlights are too blue…. 6000).The stripe across the lense makes it easy to align the headlights in the factory mounting rings.They are shallow and easily fit inside the factory headlight buckets.I use these on a 1972 Lincoln. One pair for the low beam, the other pair for the high beams.FOR THOSE WHO COMMENT THEY DONT WORK: LEDs are directional. Make sure you hook these up with the correct polarity. Plug them in and turn on the headlights before you fully install them.UPDATE: I ordered a second set of 4 to use on another car. When I installed the lights on the second car, I scratched one of the lenses. Be careful, the lenses are made from very soft plastic. I expect them to scratch very easily when deciding down the road.

They were an exact fit for my car, no modifications required and they are so much better than the originals! The only problem I had was that I needed to install 6ohm resistors on the low beam lights to make the power headlight covers work properly.

Installed on a 68 Dodge Charger, modified the metal tab on the back of the light , used a Dremel, cut off metal wheel , so it sits flush in the pot , rotating the light would have caused it to sit crooked , now sits dead on !! , put a tiny blob of silicone at 12 o’clock , 3 o’clock ,6 o’clock, 9 o’clock on back of light ,leveled the light and set the beauty ring around it , to hold it in place , didn’t have to modify the pots at all , cutting the tab off the back does not expose the interior of the light to any moisture metal is still solid and sound , excellent product, considering the competition is 3 x the cost of these, nice product!!!!
