Excellent item for lack of light
These light light up underhood the engine bright as daylight! included is a pin switch and a mini-rocker switch. I used the rocker switch on the negative side and hooked the red wire to a battery fuse…so I can click the lights on anytime. It lights the miata engine perfectly.

Great to finally have a good light option for engine bay when offroading and the hood has to go up. Easy to install, product seems well made. I gave 4 stars, rather then 5, due to the short length of wire from the battery positive, and the ground switch nagetive. The 10-12″ length means that placement around the engine bay to less intrusive locations will require clipping the wire and adding in more 22g wire and heat shrinking it to gain the reach, which I did. Besides that, if it lasts, its a great buy.

One nice trick I did on my Tundra compared to the installation on my 4Runner was to put the switch on the plastic cowl next to the hood hinge, much less exposed to water there and on the Tundra I couldn’t find anywhere to fit it at the front. You can see it on the picture.

Very easy to install. make sure you clean up all the parts where you will be installing the lights. I added a bit of silicone to make sure it stays in place. it is also very easy to connect all wiringgreat product.

These lights are really bright and the strips adhere well to any smooth and clean metal surface. I’ve used them under the hood of my 2024 GMC Canyon AT4X where they are sorely needed. The plastic light strips mould easily to the small exposed metal surfaces along the outer edges of the hood blanket and the tape is first rate 3M so it sticks very well. There is plenty of wire provided and the fuse is of decent quality. I replaced the connector for the positive terminal as it was not the size or type I prefer – a small inconvenience for a good lighting system. Hopefully it will last a lot longer than it took to install!

Seul point négatif la longueur des câbles pour les barrettes de led est identique sachant que la batterie est d’un seul côté. Bah on ne peut pas poser les barrettes là où on veut manque de longueur.sinon très bon produit.
