Normally I would give this a favorable review. I bought this specifically so that wine and other bottles would not roll around in the back of my SUV when I shop. I bought this on a lightening deal and sadly, I am disappointed. I actually need another now and would have bought this very one, had it given me the things it promised. I could not return it at the time because we were going out of town for a good long while. I will not make this mistake again.UPDATE:Before I go on, I have to say something about customer service. When I initially wrote my review I was angry and you can see it in my writing. I was upset because I was out of town (I wrote going in the review but we were already gone) when it arrived and the return time lapsed by the time I realized it was missing some pieces. Well as you can see in the comments of this review, they contacted me very politely and offered to fix the problem, even though the time had lapsed. I have to thank them for that. It really made me happy to see that excellent customer service still exists in this world. I really am grateful and now that I’m calmed down and everything is settled, let me try this again…I really do love this thing! It’s very handy and I use it for a number of things but I actually bought it for two primary reasons:Reason 1: We don’t have door to door recycling and the recycling center is about 15 miles away. I bought these, which I love, but the one with the glass sometimes has shards (like when we’re clumsy and break a glass or something) and I don’t want it turning over in my vehicle. It fits perfectly into one side of these things and not only does it not slide, but it doesn’t spill any shards at all, even if my car bounces.Reason 2: Wine bottles, eggs, bread and produce like items. Because I have an SUV and the back is rather large and because I have a big family so I buy a LOT of groceries, I end up having to place certain items in other places in my vehicle so it takes me forever to put the groceries from my cart into my vehicle. I have to put the eggs on the drivers back seat floorboard and the bread on the other floorboard on the other side and so on. Now I have a place to put them. Plus my wine bottles or any glass items I buy. They roll around in the back or anywhere, even floorboards.Let me see if I can explain this. As the pictures show, each crate is divided in half. That you cannot change. The divider that is in the center of the crate cannot be removed. There are two divider inserts that can be added or removed, but those can only go in one side of the crate. Divider one is larger than the other one and can be moved anywhere in its side of the crate, so long as it is end to end in that half. Divider two is smaller and it is limited in where it can go. It can only go in the center of one half, from side to side, and then divider one has to be up against it, for support. When using both of the dividers, it’s the perfect size for two wine bottles and the whole crate really does stay in place.It is collapsible and not just that, but you can secure it collapsed so it won’t pop open. You can also collapse only one side of the crate, if needed. Initially I thought it would be a bit flimsy, like those collapsible laundry bags that sell for anywhere between 1 and 5 dollars. This is surprisingly sturdy. There are two mats that you put in the bottom of each crate to help keep it secure it really stays upright. I am very pleased!If I had to list a con, it would likely be the side pockets. They’re a bit slim. Some of you may prefer a little more space for stuffing things in there, but there are so many it really isn’t an issue for me. It is exactly perfect for my needs and I am very happy (NOW) that I bought this.
