Cheap insurance to make sure your tires are good. Buy it.
This thing is awesome. Honestly I felt like I was ordering junk but I gave it a shot. The tire sensors are going out on my 2016 Prius so the tire light would randomly start blinking on the highway. I’d never know if it was a sensor or a tire actually going flat so I was always pulling over. This thing cured the paranoia instantly. Stuck it to the dash of the Prius using the double sided tape that came with it. The small solar panel on top catches plenty of light to keep it charged. No wiring, no connections, no setup. Just peel and stick then screw the sensors onto each tire. Less than 5 minutes total time and I always know exactly what my tire pressures are. Even cooler than that I get temps from each tire so I can see if something is running warmer than it should, like a brake pad dragging. It also gives me the actual temp in the cabin as well.

Unit needs user-based adjustability, but easy to install.
I like the idea of this tire pressure monitoring system, so gave it a try. Older vehicles without any TPMS system require checking the pressure manually (and/or a little more trust your tires are holding adequate pressure). Given the condition of roads, sometimes I wonder if I hit a series of potholes, or just poorly maintained road, or if a tire is losing pressure. In any case, this unit can shed some light on older vehicle tire pressure. Which is nice particularly if you drive at highway speed or habitually never check tire pressure. It’s of simple design and easy to install. I did notice that even while all sensors were right next to each other on the table, one sensor has a temperature disagreement, and none of the temperatures from the sensors match the temperature on the main display (big number in the center, which is not labeled anywhere whatsoever). This unit would be better if the user could make adjustments to both temperature and pressure, for this very reason. Otherwise, it just isn’t reading correctly.I used velcro to attach mine to the steering wheel column, as it’s easy to see and gets plenty of sunlight for charging.Sealing on the valve stems is definitely a concern of mine, and time will tell the story on that one. If they don’t hold pressure, the whole unit is getting tossed, as it would completely defeat the purpose. So hopefully the rubber that was used in the sensors to create the seal is of good quality and effective over all temperature ranges. Also, these aren’t exactly tiny, so they will affect balance a minimal amount.I think most people would be satisfied with this system, but I think they will also find that a user-based adjustment ability to be helpful (and lacking).

Great for cars without tire pressure reading available
This is working great for my Toyota Prius. I haven’t had to charge it and it tells me my actual tire pressure. The car doesn’t have that option so it’s nice to see and have peace of mind driving.

  4. Creative Journey

Must have TPMS reader for any car
This unit features a solar panel on top for passive charging and also a USB port for initial charge. All of the four sensors are clearly label for specific tire position such as RR for “Rear Right”. The LCD screen is bright enough for daytime and there’s also several alarm modes. The system was straightforward to set up and so far the readings have been accurate. I find this reader to be valuable in older cars that does not have an OEM readout for individual tire in the dashboard. The build quality seems decent and the sensors have stayed on securely for weeks, even with freeway driving. For the price range of sub-$20, it is of good value and comparable to other brands on the market.
