I’ve tried a bunch of different sea salt sprays over the years, and this Sun Bum Sea Spray is easily one of the best I’ve used. It gives my hair that soft, beachy texture without making it feel sticky or stiff. The scent is light and clean—exactly what you’d expect from a Sun Bum product—and it lingers just enough to be pleasant without overpowering anything else you’re wearing.I also love that it adds volume without weighing my hair down. A few sprays on damp hair and a quick scrunch gives me natural-looking waves that actually hold throughout the day. Love this product!
Very useful product for texturizing permed hair. Nice beachy (light coconut) smell. I normally despise and are very reactive to fragrance in products but this does not irritate my respiratory tract at all. My 4 year old grandaughter asks me if we can use the nice smelling stuff on her hair! It helps calm the frizzies during the dry winter months. It is a bit on the pricey side but works very well.

Love this for my thin hair
I love this product!I have really thin/fine hair and it gets oily so easily.I bought this before a week-long Beach camping trip to help add a little texture and hopefully some beachy waves. This did not disappoint, and I want to use it all the time!I use it right after the shower when my hair is still damp, then I crunch and twist me wet hair, then let it air dry.Usually when I let my hair dry naturally, it’s already oily by the time it’s completely dry. This eliminates most of the oily texture and leaves my hair looking messy but in a cute and natural way.I would like it even more if it had a pretty and tropical smell. But it’s mostly odorless, which is okay, because some people are sensitive to smells.Also, after applying it and using your hands to work it in, wash your hands right after. Because the salt burns when you touch your eyes. (Obviously) but I learned that the hard way.Overall, this is an incredible product if you want a more natural way to style your hair. I will buy this again and again!

I’ve tried a lot of sea salt sprays & this one is by far the best!!! My hair has some natural wave to it but is more straight. I spray this in my hair when I get out of the shower and scrunch my hair. Looks wavy & fabulous when it dries. It’s not sticky or crunchy feeling. I follow-up with hairspray so the wavy curls last all day.

I have super fine hair and struggle to use clips or pins on wash days because my hair is just too slick to hold. This stuff is great at adding texture to my hair for pins and clips and also smells great! It’s not greasy or crunchy at all. It also adds volume when curling on wash days!

I love the sea salt effect on my almost wavy hair. once experiencing the joy of fuller dramatic waves, I can’t go back. I must have it. but the cloying perfumes are gagging me. I admit, I have a sensitive nose. I was a perfumer for 2 decades. what I’ve learned is if they say for men, they mean it smells like mens cologne. this one smells like coconut and vanilla and a light note of mango. I don’t hate the fragrance, but it makes it difficult for me to smell anything else. it’s like being blinded to any other smell. I hope there is a sea salt out there that doesn’t wreak.

Miracle for flat, fine hair
I was searching for anything that would help my fine hair hold volume and nothing worked until I found this. I used mousses and hairsprays but they added weight to my hair and didn’t hold the style. I use this on my damp hair after washing and blow dry with a round brush, and the volume is insane. I use hot rollers afterwards and my hair will actually hold the curl and volume. The product is intended for waves and air dry use, but if your hair is too soft/oily/fine to hold a blow-dried style, I’d recommend this as a pre-blowout product. It can make your hair feel a bit dry and is matte as advertised, but that’s what I need to keep my style intact and I can resolve it by conditioning well. The scent is pretty mild and I can’t really smell it on my hair once dry. I used Living Proof’s texture mist which is discontinued (I think) and it’s just as good for half the cost.

I’m a man in my 40s with fine (not thinning!) hair. I use this every morning before I blow dry my hair and it adds volume and texture without looking like I actually have any product in my hair. Just don’t go crazy and over do the amount you spray in. Experiment and use the right amount and you’ll have awesome looking natural pumped up hair.
