More of a Temporary Dressing Than a Restorer. Not Bad, Just Not Great
SPTA Plastic & Rubber ShineWe used this on an older Ford with plastic door handles. After cleaning the handles, we sprayed the faded plastic and let it sit as directed, then wiped it off. It doesn’t give the “wet look” shine, but it did make the plastic a little darker. I also noticed some streaking unless you go over it a few times with a cloth.The sprayer has three settings: off, spray, and line. We used the spray setting since it seemed to apply more evenly. I would have liked a finer mist, but this sprayer doesn’t adjust how much product comes out. It puts out a bit more than I prefer, though it may be fine for others. We ended up putting it in another bottle with an adjustable sprayer head.As for long-term protection, UV resistance and lasting effect, I can’t really say how well it performs in those departments as we’ve not had it that long. It more of a temporary dressing than something that truly restores older plastic / rubber. It looks decent, but it’s not a dramatic show stopping improvement. Marketing uses the word shine on rubber tires but all we saw was a little darkening.One thing to note: when you’re done, make sure to turn the sprayer to the off position. Good Shine for Regular Car Maintenance
