Some work, some don’t.I am happy to report, this one works and the price is absolutely reasonable for the comfort it provides.Ok, why I like some cushions and not others. For me, I don’t like too much cushion, or too little, too firm or not enough. Each person has a preference, so its difficult to order these online with no way to try it out.Maybe this will help you.Likes:1. Not too dense/thick of a cushion. I got the 4.76″ version, the bigger one, for me, might be too big. (5.28)2. Big size. Not that I have a huge…ummmm….yah, no, thats not it. I don’t like shifting the cushion to get it “perfect” on the chair before I sit down. Just about all the cushions I have tried need to be adjusted. This one is large enough to fit perfectly in my chair. Check the dimensions of this cushion. This was one of the reasons I decided to take a chance and pick this one up.3. Comfort. I feel it provides the right amount of cushion for me, and my chair. You should try it for yourself and see.I don’t notice any “cooling” from the gel foam, but hey…it is what it is.The non-slip bottom works, so it doesn’t shift around much, but then again, its a larger cushion. If your current cushion is slightly too small, try this one and see if the fit is better. Hope this helps you*UPDATE*I made the mistake(LOL) of letting my wife try this cushion, since she works a lot from home and needs a cushion for her seating choice. She uses a different one…LOL, probably one of my cast aways….she wants one, since she finds MY cushion comfy! So I am purchasing another. Which may turn into more purchases for elder parents. Although I don’t have tailbone issues while sitting, this cushion is a win. I find that it bounces back to normal height very quickly, and I went back and forth between this cushion and another one for my chair. This one wins hands down after days of going between different cushions to give each one a good comparison.

My initial thoughts after using this for a few days.
The quality seems to be very high using high quality materials and built very well. I’m a large-built person that’s also over weight and I found the width to be accommodating, not so thick that it would make a drastic height difference in my office chair and as for functionality, that, as I mentioned below would be specific to each person depending on the cause of their back pain.For the most part it’s comfortable but the question of it relieving back and hip pain is questionable to me. Back pain is very specific to each person and as far as I know, not too many strides have been taken in the past 30 years to solve it past what we knew then. I’m not a doctor and haven’t researched it so of course I could be wrong here. My point is people have back pain for different reasons and there isn’t a cure all for all back pain.That being said, after the first day I used this my back was killing me. It might be for numerous reasons, and one possibility is this product invoked certain muscles that have been lax for an extended amount of time due to the seat bottom in my office chair being worn out and if that’s the case, only time will tell if those muscles heal and the pain goes away. It’s also possible that this is no good at all for my back pain, but as I said, only time will tell.Does this function well? I can’t answer that for everyone. Build quality is high, it’s more comfortable that the seat bottom on my office chair but does it do anything positive? I’m still not sure. This is, as the title reflects, is an initial review. Products such as these can’t be rated as how well they work for everything. That’s too much of a blanket statement and in my opinion, any reviews that says it’s great and you should buy it, you shouldn’t rely just on that and expect the same results.So, should you buy this product? If you have back pain, maybe you should. I bought it because I love my office chair but the seat bottom foam kind of lost its firmness and support and I can’t find another chair with similar features, like the back leaning back and the chair tilting like a rocking chair with adjustable armrests. The company I bought it from is basically out of business, I think they’re just selling off their stock because their products are very limited. But I needed o do something and this product is a lot cheaper and more convenient than buying chair after chair after chair and being disappointed with each one, sending each one back until i find the perfect replacement for what I want in a desk chair.I hope this initial review helped you make the decision you were looking for, whether to buy this product of not.

Compré específicamente este cojín por la altura, ya que el acolchado de mi silla de trabajo ya era prácticamente inexistente. Llevo 6 meses usándolo casi a diario y no encuentro ninguna queja, probablemente solo que el “antideslizante” no lo es mucho, pero tampoco supone un problema ya que no se mueve tanto. Es muy cómodo y no ha perdido para nada su forma. Muy buena compra.
