    Excellent Product and Excellent Quality
Excellent product! I bough the Scosche BTAXS2R Bluetooth Handsfee adapter to address a problem with my aftermarket Pioneer Navigation unit wherein the handsfree bluetooth communication stopped working. The Scosche worked excellently to integrate with the nav units audio and pared easily. My nav unit wasn’t compliant with music so this was an added benefit to allow streaming of music from my iPhone. The unit also integrates well using Siri for voice dictation and audio commands which can be prompted by pushing down on the main button. Sound quality from talking on the phone appears to be very clear. My only surprise (which is minor) was that I was expecting the unit to be smaller than it is based on the pictures but the scale is hard to see on photos unless its compared to a coin for reference. I had thought this was going to be about a 2.5 inches long and 0.5 inches wide based on my interpretation of the photo but its actually slightly larger. This isn’t a problem for me but I was looking for a solution that would not be too intrusive from a visual perspective.I have used my unit while plugged in and haven’t noticed any buzzing as reported by others. However, one tricky outcome is finding the optimal volume level between the connected iPhone and my nav unit. The voice prompts from the Scosche unit when powered on come out clear and loud but when I play any music, I typically have to power up the volume on the nav unit and iPhone. In other words, the audio playback needs a boost of volume when compared to using the Scosche for audio commands and phone calls. This requires me to play with the iPhone volume and the nav unit volume so I can get the optimal balance for music vs. audio commands/voice calls.

    Very good sound.
I use this on my 2008 Hatley Davidson Electra Glide. I was using a fm Transmitter that plugged into my cigarette lighter port. This has 10x better sound quality than that did. Easy to connect to your phone. It is kind of a point to turn off. I have to hold it for 5 seconds and then it will turn off. Usually takes me a couple of times to get it to turn off. Other than that it works great.

Won’t replace a proper head unit, but it does the job well.
If you’re looking for a way to add a bluetooth to 3.5mm adapter that also has a microphone, this might be the best option. The microphone does a much better job of blocking out road and engine noise than my phone’s speakerphone, and the extended cable and base let you position it wherever you need it. This is important because my car is quite loud from both engine and road noise. The audio sounds about as good as it did when I was wired straight into the head unit. The battery loses roughly 10% every 30 minutes; however, it doesn’t seem to have an auto-off function, so I’ve lost 30% over 8.5 hours while I was at work. If there was one thing I’d like to change, it would be to have a separate button for power and syncing bluetooth or at least change the way it works. To turn it on, you just hold the button down until you hear the tone and see it blink twice. To turn it off, you have to hold it for 4 seconds. To sync to bluetooth, you hold it for 5 seconds. Unfortunately, I have a hard time hold it long enough to turn off but not too long to have it try and sync again. And considering the 30% you’ll lose if you don’t, it can be a bit frustrating until you get a feel for it.On the bright side, it does charge relatively quickly, and it uses a USB type-c port rather than the flimsy micro-usb ports I’ve seen on others. So, there’s no need to worry about wearing the port out.Overall, I’m happy with it. If I need anything better, I think I’ll just save up for a head unit that has bluetooth built in.

    Like the lower profile.
I’ve had some of these Bluetooth receivers. And never really liked how many of them stick or hang out from the dash. While this one still does stick out it doesn’t do so as much as the others that I have had. The hookup is easy, pretty much like all the others. The sound quality is a little better than my last one and it doesn’t make the loud popping noise through the speakers when its turned on or off. Not sure about the effective distance but while in the car there is no problem with interference, no static or popping and no ghost echoes. And there are no other buttons on it that stick out that could be accidentally hit. So far so good with this one.

    Amazing product

    This device is fantastic!
I have a 2013 Grand Sport Corvette that has a stereo with an auxiliary port, in which I would have to plug in my phone to listen to Spotify . This worked fine. but I was getting frustrated because I could not talk on the phone thru Bluetooth, like I can in my other cars. I was so frustrated that I was about to spend $1000 to replace the entire stereo system. But then I found the SCOSCHE BTAXS2R Bluetooth Handsfree AUX. for $20. This device works perfect! It totally transformed my old stereo system! Stereo sounds good playing music thru Bluetooth. Sound quality is good in the car while on the phone, and the people on the other end of the phone call say the sound quality is good!

    DISCONNECTED..Pop..buzz…click…
This unit has issues and design flaws.First it constantly disconnects when using audio. The phone portion seems to stay connected. When it disconnects there is a terrible humming, buzzing, and popping that occurs in the radio. To reconnect you have to hold down the button to turn it off but if you don’t hold it down long enough it attempts to make a phone call.My daily commute is an hour in each direction and it disconnects in different places each time and anywhere from 3 to 20 times per trip. I have used 3 other Bluetooth devices that i connect my phone to and have no issues. The second issue is it contains a battery for some unknown reason. the charger it comes with is hardwired to a car 12v adapter. You can only charge it in your car so why would it need a battery. This is probably due to the second design flaw. The power connector is an audio jack seemingly used for a pass through audio. Using the battery only without the power plug reduces the noise but who wants to unplug this thing every time they get in the car to use it.

Dead right out of the box
