Perfect for trucks
Have a 2026 Ram 1500 with a 14″ wide center console. This trash can’s strap is perfectly sized to go from edge to edge of the console at the hinge point with the bag itself resting on the 2nd row floor behind the front console. Passengers in the second row still have access to temperature controls too. There are little velcro straps inside to keep the metal frame secure to the sides. We put a black plastic trash sack inside so that the can doesn’t have to be removed to empty trash, although that would be simple as well. The only thing that could be better is if the lid flap had a little piece of velcro on it to keep the lid shut. The lid opening is only a problem if you stick your hand all the way into the can though. Placing small pieces of trash in isn’t a problem. We ordered this trash can after an earlier one was returned because the strap was too short for larger consoles in trucks. I believe the strap length would be good for large suv’s too, but maybe too long for smaller consoles in sedans.

Very convenient!!
I got this for my car and my car is never a mess anymore. I use small bags in it (4 gallon trash bags). The lid stays on great and it’s very sturdy. The square shape is great for where it goes in the car. I do wish it was a little bigger when I’m using it as a cooler but any bigger and it would be too big for a trash can in your car. Works great! Only problem I have is that I don’t quite know exactly how to put it on. I got it to work but there are parts hanging down and I don’t know where they should go. And some hooks hanging and I don’t know what those are for. But since I got it to hold steady there, I’m not worried about anything else!

I was looking for a car trash can since there’s always a wrapper or tissue to throw out, and this was my choice because of price and the functional lid.It was a bit tough to put around the centre console lid (I have a Toyota XLE) and it ended up fitting over the top tray, so opening only the top of the console and not the deeper part. It took some finessing but it’s worked perfectly ever since. It’s out of the way of all passengers, and I managed to fit a tissue box in one of the side mesh pockets – it stays there easily, even with awkward tissue pulls from the front seat – and I keep extra liner bags (small bags we get from takeout, etc) in the other mesh pocket.The long strap with the hook that may be used to secure it under a seat I do not use, but I do not see it to be an issue either. You can weave it around the other strap, or you can fold it into a bundle, secure it with an elastic, and tuck it in a mesh pocket. It’s never in the way.I cannot speak to the leak-proof level of the bag since I haven’t had anything spill in it, but the material inside appears to be leak-proof indeed. I have full confidence that if something does leak, it will not escape the confines of this container.The thing I love about it is the way the lid is made. It flips up and is secured with velcro for easy trash removal, yet the top has semi-firm flaps that you push trash through, and it keeps it secure in there, even on bumpy pothole-ridden roads. The metal side handles that help to hold liner bags are a great bonus too.
