I’m prepared to be proven wrong, but so far…
It’s early days into my ownership of the Rapid USB C Car Charger — in fact, it arrived in the mail just this afternoon — so time and usage may lead me to a different conclusion. But for now, I have only good things to say.To begin with, my major concern about it being too loose for the power socket proved groundless (no pun intended). While a number of others have commented here about that issue, it turns out the device fits with just the right amount of snugness in my 2003 BMW 5 Series. The unit, though plastic, seems sturdy enough, so I don’t foresee any change in that regard.After one complete re-charge of my Kyocera DuraXV Extreme (E4810), I can report that both USB outlets work as advertised, as does the subtly attractive, blue-accented power indicator light. The cord is flexible, and though I didn’t measure it, it appears to be the proper length. Both ends fit well into their respective ports.I purchased this adapter because the first one I bought needed to be pushed almost flush with the surrounding socket, which made it very (very) difficult to remove. This unit, while unobtrusive, offers ample room for a two-fingered grip that makes withdrawing it a cinch.I hope I don’t find myself coming back here with a revisionist update. I like the idea that this modestly priced charger might just turn out to be as advertised.
