Better than the Petzl!
Absolutely more durable and useful that then Petzl I was usually issued. All of the Petzls I had seem to be delicate and break over time. This Princeton is definitely more durable that the Petzl and I am happy I chose this to replace the old Petzl. I like it and bought another one as a back-up as I always seem to misplace things. Seriously, you can’t go wrong with this one.

Great Headlamp (Tactical Focus)
So far this has been a great and robust headlamp. The lamp will initially turn on in red mode (for night vision optimization) and that allows you to not give away your position with a white light that can be seen over longer distances. This is great if you are not trying to give away your position. That aside its very easy to toggle through the settings and the battery life is pretty decent for a light at this price. (I do recommend lithium batteries to prevent any leakage during storage.)

Impressive for the price
Simple and effective headlamp. Has red light and white light LED features. Both of which are bright. Must have for night land nav

Weak battery door
The clip that holds the battery compartment closed will break eventually. This is the second one of these lights I’ve bought and the same thing has happened both times. I won’t purchase again for that reason.

Hi Quality / Dependable
I love Princeton Tech products. They’re not cheap, but boy do they last! I use this little headlamp almost daily as I work on my boat and my customers’ boats. This one is still going strong after almost a year. My last one took about two years of frequent use to wear out.I’ve tried cheap no-name headlamps, but the seem to only last for a few months.Buy quality, cry once.

Lightweight and Perfect for Flying
This red/white headlight is very lightweight and is therefore very useful for flying. It doesn’t give me a headache with prolonged used. The white light has 3 intensities and so is useful around the house. The red had two and is certainly bright enough light up the instruments, etc. The on/off switch is easy to find in the dark. Highly recommend.

This light is perfect for a hunter
This light is perfect. It’s super simple to operate. I had ordered a Petzl light and I think I would have had to be a NASA engineer use it. If you’re a hunter this light is perfect, also love how the batteries load.

Cheap plastic, broke very easily. Don’t buy.
Yeah…no….So take this to heart, because I did something…but I am not being unreasonable.I was taking this out of the package. It came in a flat plastic package with the body of the light unpackaged and the backside of the light being held within the package. I grabbed the body of the light and turned it, as to remove it without using a knife or scissors. I didn’t apply hardly any torque and it snapped, rendering it completely unusable as a headlamp. So… is that how you’re supposed to open it? No it’s not. Did I abuse it while opening it? No I didn’t. If I had been wearing it and took a nasty fall or dropped it, I have no doubt it wouldn’t have held up. Careful inspection shows this is extremely cheap plastic being used. You can click on my info, I have left very, very few bad reviews. I generally review a product cuz I want people to know it’s a great product. This is crap.I come from a law enforcement background and am currently in flight school and needed a red headlamp for night flying. I appreciate durable gear and am not afraid to spend the money to get it. I could not find anything reputable for red headlamps. I took a gamble on this and I lost.Since it was broke anyway, I let my curiosity take the lead and decided I would grab the back piece where the band attaches to the lamp and apply pressure to see how much it took to break outside of the package. You can see the photo where the broken part is next to the lamp— I applied what must have been less than 5 pounds of Pressure and it snapped like the piece of garbage it is.If you want a lamp just for extremely light duty work- say—checking cows at night or finding your real flash light in your vehicle, this might work…it’ll work the same as the $3 headlamp in the middle of the aisle at Walmart. I expect my gear to be able to save my life if I need it to. I am extremely disappointed in this. Not asking for a refund cuz I don’t wanna deal with Amazon and try and lie my way out of it. It doesn’t matter if “I broke it” or not, it shouldn’t have broke. It’s a piece of garbage and I have decided to stick with surefire. I’ll put the surefire Aviator in my mouth while I’m flying cuz this head lamp is not suitable for anything beyond a child’s play thing. Shame on this company for peddling this crap.DO NOT BUY IF YOU NEED IT FOR REAL WORK. If you want trash then get trash, but spend $25 less at the dollar tree on it. I guess better now than when I’m depending on it to read charts in pitch blackness. To the waste bin you go Princeton Tec. You make trash. I guess I got 3 AAA batteries out of the deal 🙄Note: I took multiple photos but I’ve literally spent 30 min trying to get them to upload and I don’t care enough about this little project to devote more time. So shame on you Amazon for that.

Bonne article a testé dans des conditions difficiles, dommage qu’elle ne tourne pas a 180 degrés sur un sac par exemple

This 300 lumen headlamps have accompanied me through many tours, and field exercises. Not only it has a bright white light when it is needed, it also offers two level of red light brightness setting. It defaults to just adjusting red light setting, and only upon long press, it’ll trigger the white light. It does not consume a lot of battery, and after several weeks, I am still using my original battery, so it is pretty efficient. This can be mounted on a Tac vest or plate carrier, which is pretty convenience as well. It is a recommended by for those who needs to have a red light capability at night.
