Troubleshooting
If the head unit powers on for few seconds and then shuts down automatically:
Some cars have ACC wires controlled by Canbus or feature a “delayed shut off” for radios and other components. In such cases, the car may not output stable 12V power to our radio. You will need to purchase the appropriate harness adapter that provides accessory power or supports “Retained Accessory Power” for your specific car model. Alternatively, if you prefer not to buy the adapter, you can find ACC power elsewhere in your vehicle and connect our red wire there.
The necessary conditions for powering on the unit are:
1. The Red wire of our harness receives switched 12V power (Car key must be turned on).
2. The Yellow wire of our harness receives 12V power.
3. The Black ground wire of our harness is properly connected.
If you have an electric pen, you can test these three wires.
The car stereo has a memory function. If the ACC line (Red wire) and the B+ line (Yellow wire) are reversed during installation, the product will lose its memory function after the power is turned off.The car stereo cannot be used in vehicles with a voltage exceeding 14 V, such as large trucks. If you intend to use devices with a voltage higher than 14 V, you must use step-down conversion wires to avoid damaging the car stereo.

Great Radio, especially for the price!!
Great so far. Easy to use, easy to set up. The instructions were fairly clear and straight-forward, and installation was a breeze. The radio fit great once I removed the small tabs on the side (I probably only needed to do this because the aftermarket bezel I bought sucked but that’s another story). It’s much higher quality than expected, with a metal frame/casing for the detachable screen. The screen is also responsive and bright when I need it to be. My factory steering wheel controls worked without adapters or anythings. The Android Auto connects quickly and reliable without cables or wires and looks great. The company has also been responsive when I reached out for software updates and a branded UI to match my truck. My only wish is that the USB and AUX ports were on the back, so it would be easy to connect the factory outlets to them, but that’s not a huge deal. I would definitely buy this radio or another from PLZ again.

Incredible performance and features for the price
So far the MP-928W unit has been great, especially for the price. Screen is amazing, sound clarity is better than expected (bass doesn’t have as much punch as previous Pioneer unit), super easy install. Contacted company through email for a boot logo (Toyota) and firmware update and received in a couple hours. Using ApplePlay and it connects fairly quick in a couple seconds. Screen is easy to see in the daytime and dims when lights are on, very crisp. Haven’t hooked up backup camera yet, but tomorrow I will. Only negative so far is the button placement of volume at bottom, they are more difficult to hit, but could be a simple adjustment to the brackets holding in unit. For the price it’s tough for even the big names to compete. Only time will tell.

Great for simple wireless carplay / android auto
The installation: Went well enough, but as the listing recommends you will need to purchase a trim kit – all the wire connectors will need terminated and spliced into a harness, so get connectors too. The included microphone wire is just way too short for any sort of routing, so we’ll be using the internal one for a bit until a longer external mic arrives. The camera is ok for being included for free, but isn’t well suited for a long term install. Be careful how you route camera power, since it needs to come from near the head unit. These two points are the only reason for the subtracted star.The Usage: Bluetooth connected fast, and the quality of streaming with CarPlay and Android Auto was amazing. I loved how quick it connected. It is hard to unpair a phone from launching directly to Android Auto though – no option from the headunit to stop the automatic process was clear. On this unit it seems best to use the steering wheel control for volume since the center panel buttons can be hard to determine while in motion.The sound: AM/FM sound is “ok” – definitely no HD Radio signal, even with the appropriate connections for the antenna amp made. The bluetooth mode is much better, which is why you should be buying this unit in the first place. EQ control is ok enough for most users. Don’t expect a miracle from stock speakers.

Excellent Car Stereo Upgrade – Great Display, Sound, and Support!
I recently installed the **PLZ 7″ Wireless Double Din Car Stereo (MP-928W)** in my **Ford Expedition EL XLT**, and I have to say, I am extremely impressed with the performance and features of this unit!#### 📦 **Installation Experience**The installation process was straightforward, but like with any aftermarket stereo, it required some effort to wire everything properly. I used **heat shrink tubing and soldering** to ensure a strong, long-lasting connection. The included wiring harness worked well, though I did have a couple of **unused wires** that the instructions didn’t mention (notably the **Blue/White wire**). The **Violet/White wire** was for the backup camera, which I figured out later.For mounting, I used the **Metra Double Din Dash Kit**, but it didn’t quite fit perfectly. I had to **remove the top plastic trim from the stereo and modify the dash kit** by cutting the four end pieces that were preventing the unit from sitting flush. This wasn’t an issue with the stereo itself—just a compatibility quirk with my particular dash kit.I also added a **USB 3.0 port** by replacing an old, unused **cigarette lighter socket**, which allowed me to neatly connect the rear USB cable from the PLZ head unit.#### 🎵 **Sound Quality – A Huge Upgrade!**My Expedition has a **premium factory sound system with a 160W amp**, and I used the correct wiring harness to retain my amp and **RAP (Retained Accessory Power) system**.
