I bought this mat a couple of weeks ago because I saw it was only $6.50 as an add-on item and I knew I’d use it for something.We just bought our first minivan a few weeks ago. It’s the 2016 Honda Odyssey SE Edition so NATURALLY, I’m in the market for any and all cool/fun accessories. You can see in one of the photos I already bought the cupholder coaster/liner jobs and…I LOVE THEM.We like to keep our phones in that front console, shallow little top storage area. It dawned on me yesterday. THAT’S why I bought the Honda rubber liner. I’m gonna cut it to fit inside the storage area and our phones, or whatever else we put in there, won’t slide around! Sometimes we’ll leave the keys on there, and they slide and bang all over the place while we’re driving (before the rubber mat).The rubber is not super thick, but it’s definitely thick enough to be a perfect liner. It feels quite durable. I was worried that it would take up too much thickness, and we’d lose some depth, but you don’t. Nothing at all noticeable anyway.If you want to do this too, the width inside the storage area is 7″ wide and the height is 8 1/2″. I measured out from the middle of the Honda “H” 4 1/4″ and marked it and then 3 1/2″ up from the middle and marked it.ACCURATE cutting tip:I used a paper cutter! What? Yeah, it works REALLY well. The lines cut perfectly straight with no little pieces of rubber hanging off. CLEAN cuts. The rubber can tend to bunch up while you’re cutting, leading to an imperfect line, so I kinda slowly chopped down in, like, 1″ pieces at a time to make sure that it wasn’t bunching as I was going. Does that make sense?What’s really cool, too, is that the paper cutter has engraved lines at every 1/2″ mark going all the way down it (see photo) so once you get one side cut, you can line up the other side and KNOW that the next cut will be right on. I assume most paper cutters have this feature. You can do without it for sure, but it just makes it that much easier for accurate cuts.I then used a socket that fit the same curvature of the storage area and an Exacto knife to try to cut a perfect round corner, and THAT didn’t turn out so hot (see photo). I’m still SUPER happy with it, and I would’ve liked to have the curve fit perfectly in the corners, but I’m not kicking myself out of bed about it.Also, I put a bunch of double-sided tape (see photo) on the bottom so it would stay in place but, holy smokes, THAT didn’t work. There are a bunch of little micro-dots on the surface, so I’m going to use some thicker double-sided hold down dots or something like that. It’s probably overkill to stick it down, cuz it does stay where you put it unless you TRY to move it, but I’ve come this far…I hope some of you found this helpful!

Very good mats. Not cheap at all.
Pretty good mats. Very nice. I like them very much. I just wish they were packaged differently. They came folded inside a clear sealed bag inside the amazon bag which leaves them warped in the middle upon opening them up, so basically they doesn’t lay completely flat as they should be. Other than that i really do like them. Would order more in the future if they were packaged differently.
