Highly recommend. Amazing Carplay/Android Auto Screen! bought for Honda Odyssey 2014
I bought this for my “new” 2014 Honda Odyssey and this device has been seriously amazing! It turns on and connects very quickly and my wife loves it.Pros:- the touch screen is pretty snappy considering the price. Don’t expect iPhone 120hz display snappy, but honestly it is quick and responsive enough that it doesn’t bother me (FYI, I am one of those guys that are very sensitive to lag)- many ways to connect audio: device itself has speakers (but not very loud), bluetooth, aux cable, fm radio. I pair audio through aux input in the van and I get good sound coming from the speakers, I can even adjust the volume with my steering wheel!- The screen is bright enough during the day and relatively easy to navigate with a nice floating quick access menu (back, home, volume up/down, etc.).- Display quality is good enough, don’t expect OLED at this price but I found video quality in all the streaming apps to be clear and perfectly sufficient.- Preinstalled with a bunch of apps like netflix/spotify etc. The display can be split into 2 sections, one side for carplay/AA and the other side with these preinstalled apps (need to connect to your phones personal hotspot for wifi to use). Allowing you to have your map display up on one side and music/YT or whatever on the other.Cons:- I use an iPhone and found if you play Spotify/Youtube from Carplay it will lag by 3 seconds. I found my wife’s samsung does not suffer from this lag, I assume bc this is an Android device it was optimized for Android phones. Not a deal breaker for me though since I can just split the screen, connect my personal hotspot to the Ottocast and just listen to Spotify lag free from the preinstalled apps.- aux cable sent with the device is very short and low quality, I had to swap out for a higher quality one after 1 week. Not a deal breaker obviously.- another gripe with the aux cable, I do get that static sound when aux cable connected, regardless which cable I use. This could be an issue with my vehicle as I have connected aux cables in other vehicles without issue. Again, not a deal breaker for me bc I don’t hear it once I have audio playing in the background.- Once you connect your device to carplay/android auto, I found you cannot disconnect it, even attempting to turn bluetooth off of your phone, it will just reconnect automatically to the Ottocast. It’s kind of annoying and hopefully gets fixed.Some other things to note:- Regarding the backup camera, I have not installed it yet so cannot speak to its quality. I actually plan to try and mount it to the front of the vehicle since I already have a backup camera. Hoping this works so I can have both front and rear cameras.- The unit also came with dash mounting stuff but I bought a CD slot mount for the screen. The CD slot mount does barely clear my shifter, and it kind of blocks my AC/Heating controls but I much prefer this spot than blocking the view to the front windshield. Every car is different so if you plan to mount in the CD slot, be mindful it does not impede any other function you need in your car.- fun fact, if you were to pull the power out of the unit and plug it back in, the device DOES NOT reset but immediately back to where you left off.- My preinstalled video apps (netflix/disney+/amazon video) stopped working after a week, but I noticed there was a firmware update for download. After installing everything went back to normal. Keep this in mind in case it happens to you!Overall, very impressed with this device and highly recommend for anyone to modernize an older vehicle!

Great quality build
Superb functionality. Well built. I asked Rufus tons of questions one regarding a power button… to my surprise when it arrived it in fact has its very own power button. Connectivity is great, although my specific vehicle does not have Bluetooth or an auxiliary port, the fm transmitter functions for now until I add an aux port to my factory system.3rd party app access, Google play, carplay, android auto.Haven’t used the AI feature just yet but one thing I like is I can take this with me into any vehicle I drive moving forward without installation and anything other than enjoying the features I desire.One thing to consider for ottocast… please start building outputs for audio and video to utilize existing factory monitors for the future models

For the price it is pretty good. I use it for the FM radio to connect my phone via Bluetooth. I love using it to watch anime and YouTube in my car. Be careful not to leave your battery for too long. It works well, can be a tad bit buggy if you don’t update often. VERY easy to install , looks good on the dash.

Really nice unit. Connects to the phone fast. I use it for maps on half the screen and reading the car computer readouts on the other half. I have it mounted overhead just in front of the sunvisor. I can’t use the rear camera because they don’t sell a cord long enough to reach the tailgate of a pickup.

If I could give this product more then a 5 star I would! I kept seeing reviews and ads of car play screens on TikTok, and decided to go to Amazon to find one.My girlfriend and I had went to Walmart on Valentine’s Day to get a CarPlay screen.HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE BTW. The one from Walmart was laggy, glitchy, wouldn’t even stay on the car play screen. It took us 2 hours to set that one up and we returned it and I’m SO GLAD I DID because this one is GENUINELY AMAZING.I can use my maps while my passenger princess can watch her movies/shows.It connects easily and not to mention the functionality of the screen quality is amazing as well.The music playback is also exceptionally good.Would totally recommend to anyone looking for CONVENIENCE and COMFORT , this is the way to go. 😊

Junk after a couple of hours
Device stopped working after two hours of use. Used it once in the evening and went out to my vehicle the next day to use it again and it didn’t work. The screen worked, but there was something wrong with the software. It’s like it wasn’t coming out of a deep sleep. There was a lock on the screen and you could do everything with the buttons, but it wouldn’t go anywhere. So, this machine is junk. What’s worse is that I am now in today number 15 or 16 since I have returned it and still no refund yet. It says my refund is delayed. I am very disappointed. Not only did I buy a junk product, but it’s taking forever to get my money back and that’s bad business.However, their customer service is top notch but they couldn’t fix my problem. Great people working for the customer service.

Ottimo prodotto, installato su una BMW serie 3, appoggiandolo sullo schermo originale tramite un adattatore e velcro adesivo, quindi senza utilizzare la sua staffa originale il che da un bellissimo aspetto, acquistato un cavo di ricarica magnetico in modo dalle da toglierlo e metterlo senza rovinare la sede. Ottime funzionalità, buona reattività, schermo abbastanza soddisfacente ( non vi è un sensore di luminosità ma impostando al massimo non si hanno problemi) . Più che consigliato

Ich bin mit dem Ottocast Ottoscreen AI insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Der Bildschirm ist groß, die Bedienung wirkt einfach und das Gerät macht genau das, was es soll. Besonders praktisch finde ich, dass CarPlay und Android Auto kabellos funktionieren und die Einrichtung unkompliziert war. Das Bild ist gut lesbar und die Nutzung im Alltag ist angenehm. Für mich ein sinnvolles Upgrade, das das Auto deutlich moderner macht.
