Perfect gadget for wireless phone connection
Works great on a Subaru Forester connecting both an Android and an iPhone (not at the same time). Easy setup. Connects about as fast as a Subaru with integrated wireless. This was just what we needed. I wish we had gotten this a long time ago.

Worked perfectly in 2023 Kia
This item works perfectly. I tried another brand before it and it kept disconnecting and the Bluetooth in the car was fighting it, but THIS one was easy to set up, never disconnects, good quality, no latency. I have a 2023 Kia Sorento.

Overall great with some quirks
This wireless CarPlay adapter is really convenient and works well most of the time. Setup was straightforward, and it’s great to connect my phone without having to plug in a cable every time. Using apps, music, and navigation wirelessly is super handy. The only drawback is that the screen occasionally goes black for a moment, which can be a little frustrating. I don’t have this issue when using CarPlay with a cord connection, so it seems to be just a wireless quirk. Other than that, it’s a solid and useful gadget for anyone who wants a cable-free experience.

Not only is it easy to use it’s easy to set-up and connect
I am pleasantly surprised how well it works. Easy set-up, instant connection when starting the car.We have three phones connected so whoever is driving can have their personal phone connected. The transfer from one phone to another is seamless. No, dropped connections like we had with a cord.I am electronically challenged so I believe the Ottocast is a gift from the Lord.

Very unreliable-will not connect even after software update.
Spent two hours trying to get this thing to work. Followed the instructions and did an update to the software and it still fails to connect my CarPlay in my 2017.5 Nissan Murano. Tried to reach out for support and can’t get a hold of anybody. I will be returning it.

Works but disappointed
The product works it’s not too bad, but it advertises two users and I will warn anyone purchasing this product that if you can connect two devices to it, it is a absolute hassle to disconnect reconnect disconnect to get it to the right device and if you remote start your car, it glitches hard-core. Once you get past that overall it’s not bad it does lag a little bit. You’ll notice your song as further along than it displays most of the time. Audio quality is pretty good and the design I really enjoy.

Easy to install!! Works perfectly!!
Game changer!!! I bought and fought with 3 different cords ….only to find out it was my car NOT the cords! This thing is easy to install (only one time/ not every time you get in the car) and works great!!! Wish I knew about it before I invested in apple stock through buying endless cords. 🤣

What makes this adapter stand out to me is just how tiny it is. It’s barely larger than that USB port but does a good job at converting the wired CarPlay into wireless easily. The setup process was very easy and only takes seconds: it was detectable by my phone right away with an initial pairing that couldn’t have taken longer than a minute. Reconnections were similarly fast and seamless. In terms of connection quality, I felt like this did a good job holding the connection. In my time with this adapter, I haven’t noticed any outright drops and the latency did not seem perceptible when listening to maps or using the maps.

I really like the compact size of this adapter, and how quickly it connects my smartphone when I get in to drive.Initial setup was easy, as the Ottocast Mini Pot displays instructions on the vehicle’s infotainment screen to get connected. Once connected, my iPhone automatically connects each time, provided Bluetooth/Wi-Fi are enabled on the phone; else the Ottocast will display the original setup screen to help get a phone connected.I like how the compact design of this adapter sits tight to the dash when plugged in; especially with my USB port being out in the open in the front passenger area. If you have side-by-side USB ports, one could potentially get covered over by the adapter depending on the orientation when plugged in. My vehicle has a USB-C port just below the USB-A port, and it remains unencumbered which is perfect just in case I need to charge my phone. The Ottocast does include a USB-C to USB-A conversion adapter, which may be useful depending on your setup.Overall, this adapter provides a fast and reliable way to get your smartphone connected wirelessly, provided your vehicle already has factory wired CarPlay or Android Auto capabilities.

As of this date, November 2025, the regular price of this item is $149.18, without any available discount or coupon at the time.I’ve been testing this OTTOCAST Mini Pot as a wireless adapter for Android Auto, and overall, it has been a solid upgrade to my car setup. The first thing that stands out is the tiny form factor — it’s one of the smallest adapters I’ve tried, and once installed, it stays out of the way and keeps the interior clean and cable-free.Setup was fast and straightforward. It paired with my Android phone in under a minute, and the initial connection has been smooth so far. Once the car starts, it reconnects automatically, and apps load just as quickly as with a wired connection. There’s no noticeable lag in menus, audio, or calls, and the low-latency design really helps keep everything responsive. The soft LED glow is subtle. At night, it looks great — not distracting at all. During the day, the light is harder to see, but since the adapter basically works on its own once set up, it’s not a deal-breaker.Where the device shows its limitations is in phone switching. There’s no physical button to force pairing mode, so switching devices is less convenient than with other adapters. You need to disable Bluetooth or put the current phone in airplane mode for it to release the connection. It’s not difficult, just less intuitive. The reset process isn’t obvious either. There are no reset instructions in the manual. You need to connect to the adapter’s Wi-Fi network and access its internal webpage to perform a factory reset or update the firmware. It works — but these details should really be in the documentation.Compatibility-wise, I appreciate that it supports both Android Auto (Android 11+) and CarPlay (iPhone 5+), although I only tested it with Android so far.Pros- Very compact and discreet design- Quick setup and fast reconnection- Stable wireless Android Auto performance- No lag during navigation, calls, or media- Keeps the dashboard clean (no cables)Cons- No physical pairing/reset button- Switching between phones is inconvenient- Reset instructions are not included in the manual- LED is too dim during the dayWho this is forDrivers who want a clean, wireless setup with fast reconnection and stable Android Auto performance — especially if they usually use just one phone in the car.Who this is not forPeople who frequently switch between multiple devices or want a plug-and-play way to reset or re-pair without accessing menus.Durability / Build / ValueThe build feels good, the casing is solid, and the internal components seem well-cooled for the size. I haven’t used it long enough to judge long-term durability, but so far it has performed well. I hope it continues working reliably over time — that’s something I’ll update if needed.Final VerdictA well-built and compact wireless adapter that delivers fast, stable Android Auto performance with minimal lag. It’s not perfect — especially when switching devices — but for everyday use with a single phone, it’s a clean and reliable upgrade.
