Works as it should
Works exactly as it should. Only issue I had initially was that I had no audio on my calls but after disconnecting from my car, connecting to this and then reconnecting to my car everything works perfectly. May buy another for my other vehicle.

No need for a new head unit!!
So this little guy is worth ten times its weight in gold! TL;DR: it works.If you’ve got a recent vehicle with a wired CarPlay and you’d like a wireless version, this is the answer!! It’s sleek, it’s small, and more importantly, it works!!It includes a QR code on the box to scan for an easy and quick setup, but it’s a link to a YouTube playlist of videos that are in Chinese with English subtitles. Honestly this added more confusion and questions than it helped. That being said, the setup itself was fairly simple and easy. Plug and connect like you would any Bluetooth and then follow any remaining instructions from there.This is an absolute game changer! No more messy wire, or constantly replacing the cable. You just plug it in, and it sits flush and gives a nice little modern look. The only complaint is that it kind of automatically connects, so if you’re used to settling on who would plug in, this makes you decide between who had to disconnect and who can remain connected via Bluetooth. Other than that, this little adapter brings your built-in system fully into the 21st century and makes it totally wireless.Only downside is the price, hovering around $100, it’s a little pricey, and we haven’t given it enough time to see if it’ll last for a couple years. If it does, it’s definitely worth the price for what it does. The only reason I’m withholding a star is the price. If it’s worth it for you to completely lose the cable, then go for it. If you’re like me and you’re not sure if you’d rather a new unit, or a new car, then this is a pretty good in between. For what it does, it’s definitely worth it, but YMMV.

This works way better than I anticipated
I’m not going to lie, it took me way longer to get around to trying this than it should have because, even with 13+ years in the user support IT field, I generally find products like this dreadful to set up. This, however, was flawless. I plugged it into my cars USB slot and my car (2021 Toyota Rav4 XSE Hybrid FWIW) immediately recognized it. It did ask something along the lines of wanting to recognize it as Apple CarPlay and I hit yes, even though I have Android… And I thought I might be screwed. It kept popping up as CarPlay. However, I found it in the list of Bluetooth devices on my phone, connected, it flipped to Android Auto and immediately started displaying as if I had plugged my phone in. I have never has this smooth of an experience trying to modify something from wired to wireless!Now when I get into my car, my phone automatically connects. No fiddling with a cord. I do feel it drains phone battery a bit, but I don’t know that it’s any worse than it would be streaming something and outputting it on a Bluetooth speaker. I cannot really comment on latency as I haven’t taken a phone call through this yet, but hitting play/pause has been as quick as if I had it plugged in. I also feel the sound quality is the same as if I had it plugged in. Overall, I am incredibly impressed with this product.

Adattatore wireless per chi possiede già CarPlay o Android Auto sul proprio veicolo. Se hai l’abitudine di utilizzare il telefono in macchina tramite la consol principale dell’auto e sei stanco di usare i cavi questa è la soluzione adatta. Piccolo dispositivo da collegare alla presa USB-A o USB-C (con adattatore fornito), seguire le istruzioni per il primo collegamento, del tutto simili al classico accoppiamento di altri dispositivi ed il gioco è fatto. Senza fili volanti per la macchina potremo continuare ad usare normalmente il cellulare dalla consol dell’auto per chiamate, ascoltare musica usare il navigatore. Il punto di forza è la connessione stabile e veloce come se fosse attaccato al cavo, possibilità di memorizzare altri dispositivi, molto utile in famiglia, per un rapido ri-accoppiamento. Le dimensioni ridotte consentono di lasciarlo inserito senza arrecare troppi fastidi durante l’uso e senza orribili effetti antiestetici.

Se possiedi un veicolo recente con un CarPlay cablato e desideri una versione wireless, questa è la risposta! È elegante, è piccolo e, cosa più importante, funziona!Include un codice QR sulla confezione da scansionare per una configurazione facile e veloce, ma è un collegamento a una playlist di video di YouTube in cinese con sottotitoli in inglese. Onestamente questo ha aggiunto più confusione e domande di quanto abbia aiutato. Detto questo, la configurazione stessa era abbastanza semplice e facile. Collega e connettiti come faresti con qualsiasi Bluetooth, quindi segui le istruzioni rimanenti da lì.Il design metallico arancione attira davvero l’attenzione e il design è estremamente compatto. Ma proprio questa compattezza è stata quasi la mia rovina: è stato difficile estrarla: la mia porta USB si trova nello «scomparto per sigarette» della console centrale. L’adattatore è così stretto e, grazie al suo design, offre così poca presa che rimuoverlo è stata un’operazione non proprio banale. Se vuoi ricollegarlo spesso, dovresti controllare la posizione della tua porta USB.Dove brilla: la trasmissioneQui, l’OTTOCAST si lascia alle spalle la concorrenza: Risposta rapida: con altri adattatori, spesso ho avuto enormi ritardi quando accendevo una canzone, ad esempio. Questo reagisce in modo estremamente rapido e fluido.Qualità del suono: la riproduzione è stabile e di alta qualità, il che è molto importante per me personalmente.ConclusioneDevi considerare la posizione della porta usb. Una risposta rapida e un buon suono durante tutto il viaggio sono più importanti per me di una partenza fulminea. Poiché non ho ancora trovato un dispositivo che funzioni perfettamente in tutte le discipline, manterrò l’OTTOCAST durante l’uso grazie alle sue elevate prestazioni.
