Works Great on Gas Cars, Unusable on My F-150 Lightning EV
This heads-up display has a lot of useful features on paper: it can show speed, RPM, voltage, temps, fuel consumption, and more, plus it includes multiple screen layouts and two mounting options (dash or windshield). The display is easy to read, and setup is straightforward.The problem is compatibility. It did not work on my F-150 Lightning EV. In OBD mode it would reboot about every 30 seconds, which makes it basically unusable. That behavior makes me suspect it’s not compatible with some EVs, even though it supports OBD2/EOBD on many 2008+ vehicles.On the other hand, it worked perfectly on my wife’s gas Forester. It connected quickly, stayed stable, and displayed the data reliably, so the device itself can function well when paired with a compatible vehicle.If you’re buying this for a traditional gas vehicle, it can be a solid budget HUD. If you’re trying to use it on an EV, I’d be cautious and confirm compatibility first.
