Worked on my car and old lady installation approved!
I have a 2016 Mazda CX-5. On very cold days, the nav system started rebooting until the car warmed up. After consulting Mr. Google, I decided to replace the gps nav card which is easy to do. At the very least, my nav maps would be much more current. Our weather has been milder, but so far there hasn’t been any unscheduled reboots. Fingers are crossed.

Great upgrade for my Mazda MX-5 infotainment system – easy installation
I wanted to use my navigation in my 2023 Mazda MX-5 as a backup to Android Auto. My Mazda infotainment system did not come with the map SD chip from the dealer. Not worth the price they wanted since the cart came with Android Auto (and I really like Waze on Android). That said, once in a while there is an issue and it is nice to have backup navigation. For the price this chip worked great. The SD card was packaged nicely in an anti static bag for protection. My biggest issue was getting the SD card door open, it was very tight (not a problem with the supplier of the SD card). See the pictures to see what it looks like with the MX-5 SD card cover open. I followed the instructions to insert it with the car off. I turned on the ignition and now I have local maps in case android auto or Waze crash.

The maps are from June 2019… Far away from “latest” as per product description
