Holds fast without damaging dash
I needed a phone holder for a rental car, and this did the trick! My criteria was simply to attach my phone to the dash or windshield so it would be easily accessible without fumbling while driving, and to be able to transfer the device to another vehicle.The windshield suction mount is very strong and provides enough rotation to position the phone so that it is easily viewable. I like that the mount also allows itself to be folded out of the way to allow use of a sun shade. Removing the mount for repositioning or use in another vehicle was relatively easy and didn’t impact the security of the suction mount; the suction is so strong and sticky, that you have to work a bit and remove it much like 3M strips—pull on the table to break the suction, then slowly lift away from the mounting surface. The stickiness is not an adhesive, but is the inherent nature of the plastic suction disk; it doesn’t leave a residue.To ensure good adhesion to the phone, you need to use one of the metal plates provided. Since my phone has magnetic charging and I already have a removable wallet attached to the case, I simply slipped one of the provided metal plates between the back of my phone and its case in a position that wouldn’t interfere with the magnetic charging location (I didn’t expose the adhesive on the metal plate). When I want to attach the phone to the mount, I just remove my wallet and pop the phone on the mount. After a couple times, it’s pretty easy to align the metal plate on the phone with the magnetic mount.I considered some of the magnetic charging mounts, but since they still require the use of a charging cable, that feature didn’t seem worth the extra cost; either way, I have a cable hanging across my dash.Super happy with this purchase! It took me forever to research and make the purchase, but this product def met my needs!

I’m conflicted 😳, I like it but…….
This is a good product, strong flexible and very functional. The problem is the car, both my cars just doesn’t have a flat surface on which to mount it properly. Apart from the lack of a flat surface, I also have textured surfaces that reduces the adhesion. Of course I can always mount on the windshield but I generally find that too distracting. To get around these issues it is not mounted in the most ideal location, it’s a bit lopsided due to ridges on the dash, I also had to put super glue underneath, not because it doesn’t adhere to the dash but because of my textured surface. Despite these frustrations I give it a 5 star cause the issue is with the car not the product.

J’avais acheté ce produit avant de connaitre les bases Mag-Safe.Je l’avais commandé sans grande conviction, persuadé que j’allais devoir le retourner.La base adhésive offre une adhérence vraiment très importante, peu de risque de décollement involontaire.Le magnétisme est lui aussi assez important.Puis, lorsque j’ai découvert les bases Mag-Safe, j’ai souhaité changer et me suis dit que ça allait être une plaie à retirer et nettoyer.Et bien non, en y allant lentement, progressivement, il m’aura fallut moins de dix secondes pour le décoller et ce, sans qu’il laisse la moindre trace.C’est vraiment un très bon produit bien pensé, bien conçu.

Habe sie für meinen Dacia Sandero 2010 bestellt. Raue oberfläche super halt und auch die Klebemagnete die dabei sind, sind wirklich toll. Funktionieren sogar durch die Handyhülle.

È il secondo che compro in 4 anni, perché il primo qualche giorno fa mi si è rotto il perno centrale che sostiene il tutto alla ventosa, essendo di plastica, il telefono un po’ pesante e quindi quando si va in auto, con le buche a forza di molleggiare, mi si è rotto. Ma io faccio spesso strade di campagna e dissestate. Ha fatto il suo lavoro egregiamente per questo ne ho comprato un altro uguale. I magneti sono fortissimi, il telefono non mi si è mai staccato, e ti fanno in dotazione due placche metalliche per due telefoni, una rettangolare grande è una rotonda più piccola. Se avete lo smartphone con L ricarica wireless, mettere il magnete più piccolo in basso, così siete sicuri che potete caricarlo, perché io ho messo quella grande centrale e la ricarica wireless non me l’amore de bene. Il prodotto è valido!
