    Easy scheduling and installation.
I didn’t know what to expect but I knew I wanted to add LoJack to one of our vehicles. My order arrived and it was an envelope with a post card with a QR code on it. I scanned it and it took me to a Google form which I filled out late at night. The next day I received an email, text, and a phone call to schedule my appointment. I called the number Spireon left for me, on a Thursday, and they scheduled my installation for Saturday morning. The technician contacted me to confirm my address and our appointment and also contacted me the morning of the appointment to confirm their ETA. They were punctual and professional and installed the unit in around 10 minutes. They told me it could be immediate or later in the day, but I would receive a link to download the LoJack app and login credentials. I received my credentials on Monday and while my vehicle was registered to the account, it’s location wasn’t showing up. I contacted customer service late Monday and when I checked the app on Tuesday morning VOILA! My car was on the map! Very happy with the experience and hope I’m never in the position to use the apps feature to report my car missing.

    Not The Actual Device
Very misleading listing. I expected to receive a device for a covert self-installation, but instead got a code for professional installation. Nowhere was this made clear upfront. I want to be the only person who knows where it is on my $250k vehicleDisappointed with the lack of clarity—buyers should know they are not receiving the actual product.

    Super easy
Honestly probably the easiest transaction I have made on Amazon. Once I received my purchase they set up the appointment with me to work around my schedule and the install was done faster than what the person quoted me. Works as it should and helped bring down my insurance adding this to my vehicle. Thanks again!

Let VG Motors clear the mystery!
It was a little odd getting a postcard to install this but it worked, scheduled pretty fast, I had a question on weekend and they actually answered. Installer was early and quick. Only real con I can think of is that I wish the Geo fence in the app could be made bigger, it’s a few miles but it would be nice to be able to just set it to cover the whole city, I don’t need a popup every time I visit the grocery store.

  5. Amazon Customer

    No product support-Updated
I purchased this item and for around 3 weeks didn’t recieve an activation code/PIN for the mobile app. I had no way of verifying if the device was working, a customer support case I opened was ignored, and I left a review saying so. Bruce from VG Motors saw my review, contacted me, and began working on my situation. Within 3 days, the situation was resolved and I now have my app working. He kept me updated every day. The problem was the fault of the local installer and not VG Motors. Be sure to keep the product card they send you when you order so you have the customer service number in case anything happens. I had lost mine, which resulted in this resolution taking longer than it needed to.

Lojack does not want their devices sold on Amazon
This review is about VG Motors. They installed the device two weeks ago and told me I’d get PIN to activate the app and device and still haven’t gotten it. Lojack does not want their devices sold on Amazon, so they’ve not been able to help (and hard to get ahold of too). At this point I don’t know if I’m going to get this working. Had a Lojack before (2003-10) so came back with one for my new car.I’m going to be close to a national border soon so am concerned.Update 1: The Lojack support team was able to get me a PIN to activate the device. I also got a call from VG Motors after seeing the review to see if I’d been able to activate the tracker, I appreciate that they reached out. VGM says that the installer was from Lojack and it was his fault for not submitting the paperwork. I don’t know who he worked for, but assumed it was VGM since I called them to setup the install.Update 2: VG Motors called again to ask that I change this update. They claimed they were allowed to sell on Amazon and had a direct connection to a VP at Lojack. Sounds desperate to me, and the person at Lojack that told me that they didn’t want them sold at Amazon sounded knowledgeable and said my problem had happened before. I hear VGM’s concern, but I’m just telling the story as it happened.

    Quick install, Great Customer Service
Very happy with this purchase. Needed to install a LoJack on my vehicle. Install was scheduled a couple of days after purchase. Install was done by a Technician took less than 20 minutes and App works great.

  8. John Costella

    Useless
We got LoJack installed on our new car in May 2024, based on its legendary reputation with law enforcement. There were no issues until we needed to change dealerships later in 2024. After being unable to find where to make that change, LoJack told me that I couldn’t. It had to remain tied to the original dealership! Ridiculous! Anyway. It is what it is. So today I checked the app to make sure it knew where the car was. It said it was 20 miles away. I called LoJack. They told me that it had a “power issue” five months ago and had not reported in since! I asked how that was possible. The rep told me that the battery might have been disconnected. But how could that be? It is supposed to have its own independent power source! And even if true, surely LoJack’s servers would have detected the lack of check-in, if not within hours, then at least some time in the past five months? I assume that the “power issue” was when the car had its first scheduled service after one year. I conclude that LoJack is a complete waste of money. It doesn’t work. It is defeated by a criminal removing the battery. Wonderful.
